If I had a dream series about a strong female lead who gets famous with her own competency and also maintaining pleasant personality being kind while not compromising on her own goals without being a Mary Sue, I think Evony is HER.

She is such a great presence in a nation that sees women as nothing more than garden vases, the nobles who don't want to acknowledge her but when they meet her and face the challenge can't help but are forced to acknowledge her at the end of the day. The way she fights against patriarchy is not all legal as technically it's not against the laws for women to do what they strive for. But mentally by taking forefront overturning the societal expectation and demonstrating that others can do what she does if they put their mind to it. She actively creates opportunities for younger generations to move forward.

Honestly this could be my ignorance talking but it was refreshing to read about a FL who plays the role of a king maker. >!And she does not decide to help Dante (ML) become the king because she loves him, but because she realizes he will be what is best for the future of the country.!<

Speaking of the male lead, he is Progressive, in short. He stayed abroad (exile) and reluctantly came back to the country out of duty. But he saw hope for its future seeing how Evony was working towards women rights. He is also supportive of her cause and in fact the one to push to pursue what she wants to do. Although at the earlier stage, he was wee bit overprotective of her, but that's because in some ways he saw her as the victim who went through prison abuse ignoring her growth since then. But with some intervention and the FL proving her competency he started to completely trust her and respected her free reign in what to do.

Honestly the relationship between the two couldn't be as meaningful as it is without the support of the side cast. The ML's subordinates and FL's friends are some of the best groups of side characters I've ever read in a RoFan. Anything more would be spoilers and too much detail so I hope you can read and find out.

I caught up to the latest chapter and if I have a minor gripe till now it's that >!despite numerous mentions, we still haven't got to meet the warrior queen of Babel who demanded Evony's freedom from prison for letting go of their nation after defeating them!<

I see almost taste the sexism oozing out of the words 😭
