Air duct and evaporator cleaning recommendation

Hi, I just got the keys to my new townhome this past week and have been having things fixed for the last few days. Today I looked at the blower and furnace and saw that there was no filter in the unit and there definitely was not for a significant amount of time.

The air conditioning works, and it’s a late 90s system from Lennox with R-22, But it takes a significant amount of time for the place to cool to whatever your temperature is.

It cycles at around 8-10 minutes once it gets to the desired temp, which I know is pretty good considering it was around 75 outside at this time.

So I decided to take off the 3 intake vents in the home, and this is what I was met with… This is why I am making this post. And because this was ran without a filter for possibly years, I can’t imagine how dirty that evaporator is.

What can I do as a tenant to get the system working great again?
