might be triggering just need advice

hello, i post my sweet bird here but i just lost her today. i cant stop thinking back to that moment because it was all so fast. she had started having nesting behavior and nested in a spot between our jalousie windows and screen, i just took her out of there and scolded her then went to play a game she was with me for a while when she flew to the door, i thought, okay she's at the door. then 3 minutes later, i heard her cries and saw that she went to the tight spot again but a big rat had bit her, i never knew that there was a hole there since our windows there were stuck closed but there was spot in the middle of the window and the screen. we tried our best to get her out as fast as we could but when i got a hold of her, she only looked at me then stopped breathing. I'm just so sad and i hate how short her life was and how painful it was for her. she was a kind bird and my princess i wish this was all just a sick nightmare
