Need help getting past boot loop. It doesn't go into bios.

Need help with 1st boot looping

So, just built my first pc today, and after carefully following (or so I thought) many tutorials, I managed to complete the build. Thing is, whenever i try to boot it up to get into the BIOS, it goes into a boot loop. I get a quick 1-2s red pilot on my bother board and then a longer 5-ish second lonh yellow pilot, then none. And little after, very quick red pilot again 0.5s, and it goes down, soon after back up again and so on.

For some context, here's my component list:

  • CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 265kf
  • GPU: AMD Radeon rx 9070xt
  • RAM: 32Gb DDR5, 6000 mHz
  • Mobo: ASUS MAG B860 TOMAHAWK WIFI
  • CPU cooler: Thermalright Phantom spirit 120 EVO Digital
  • PSU: Thermaltake Thoughpower GT 850W

Red pilot means CPU not detected or fail. Yellow is same but for DRAM. I do not entirely know what those are. RAM looks fine, leds go on, so at least they're getting power. Same for the cooler, so not sure why RAM and CPU not being detected.

I have both cpu cables connected to CPU-POWER1 and CPU-POWER2, fans all work just fine (as all other led's). GPU doesn't seem to have an issue either, I connected 2 8-pin connectors to it, and filled the 3rd one with a Daisy Chain as I didn't have a third 8-pin to connect. PSU cables all seem to be into place, but I could be missing something, am I supposed to connect 2 PSU-CPU cables or just one? (Tried with just 1, same result). Also tried to boot with just one memory stick, tried both individually, nothing changes.

I would really appreciate some help, I spent the hole day building this thing and I kinda feel bad that I might have messed something up.

Building help

Hey guys, finally bought all the pc parts to get it running, just wanted to ask some actual building tips as this will be my very first time doing so.

So far i've noticed people warning about static electricity when handling the MB and CPU. Recomending to both rest the MB on it's own box as well as regularly touching the PSU while it's on.

There's also the need to be careful to prevent bending any pins, but how easy is it to actually bend them? Will they get messed up just cause i placed the CPU slightly off?

And talking cables and wires, how messy does it get? Cause it's pretty overwhelming already seeing the bijilion pins and ports the MB has, let alone mathing them with their corresponding adapters and plugs and connect them to the component that they are supposed to go to, A.K.A. not connect the display to the MB instead of the GPU.

What about fans? I've heared there's supposed to be as many fans cycling air in and out, say, 3 frontal fans to cool the box, and 3 fans blowing the hot air out, but I almost never have actually seen a 1:1 ratio, there's always more fans imputing fresh air than blowing hot air out

Thermal compound, do I stick with the one i get with the CPU or do I get one myself? Is it worth it for a fresh build or only when changing it after whatever amount of years have gone by?

Basically my main worries are not messing up any component and cable management.

i will gladly accept any tips and tricks that you may have for me.

Build recommendations

Hey, been looking around and managed to get this setup for under 2k. Do you guys think it's a good build for 1440p 120hz gaming?

Intel processor is intended, didn't found any AMD that came close for the price. As for the GPU, initially wanted to go with an RTX 5070, but some guy recomended me the rx 9070xt as they had only a 25€ difference.

I appreciate the feedback, specially with the monitor as i have 0 idea about those.

Thx for your time.

Components for new pc

Hey so, things happened and my last laptop died after 8 long years of service, leaving me to deal with the need to buy something new.

First thing i knew, I wanted to run away from laptops and invest in a desktop. Cause I already had battery issues with my laptop and I never actually moved it much to begin with.

Some context for the build, I'm aiming for a desktop that can run games 1440p at ~120fps in high settings on games, as that'll be the main use of the pc. I personally am from Spain in case that helps.

Thing is, very first question is about cpu, should I go Intel or AMD? I've been looking and for Intel the Core Ultra 7 265k looked good at 320€. AMD-wise i have no idea what I should go with as I don't have previous experience, so I would very much appreciate some recommendations that are 300€ or less.

GPU is 100% gonna be a 5070 at ~600€, as upgrading to a TI costs me an extra ~300€ and I don't think is worth the extra money for 1440 at 120fps despite the extra 4Gb of VRAM. But again, please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, I'm no expert here.

Motherboard I'm again a bit loss, the idea is going 250€ or less, but since my last pc was a laptop I never looked into motherboards, so not exactly sure what to look for. So again, i'd appreciate recommendations for both AM5 and Intel 1851 sockets. Right now I've looked at a MSI B860 GAMING PLUS WIFI for around 200€ for the 1851 socket. Nothing on the AMD side yet.

Ram gonna be hopefully 32Gb of DDR5, but i might start with just 16 and later on buy a second stick for the dual channel, depends on the price. Is 6.000 mHz the hard base for DDR5 or is 5.600 also acceptable? Also, how much difference would there be between CL's, say, CL30 and CL36 per example? What does that mean/do?

SSD I'm looking at a M.2 Samsung 990 Pro 2Tb PCle x4, I've found it for around 270€, that good or is there something that could be better for the price, or cheaper for the quality?

Power wise i checked a be quiet pure power 13M 850W with the 80 plus gold efficiency, around 110€. Should i stick with the 850 or look for something with 650W or 750W?

CPU Cooler i picked a deepcool Ak620 G2 digital Nyx for 80€ but it looks a bit pricey for what I've seen the usually go for, should I go for a cheaper one or is this one worth the money?

And lastly, should I change the cooler for a liquid? Cause i have absolutely 0 idea about those. Like 0, nothing, but I could dig into it if it's worth it.

And if it isn't too much to ask for. Maybe some ok-ish monitor that goes for 300€ or less that is at least 1440p and 120hz.

I know it's a lot, i know posts like this one must be very frequent and can get tiring, so it's ok if you don't comment, but please, i'd appreciate some feedback on it, recommendations or possible compatibilities I may have missed.

Thanks a lot and have a good day y'all.
