Westholme Publishing just released “James Selkirk’s Revolutionary War,” edited by Robb K. Haberman, a never-before-published memoir, written by a quartermaster sergeant who served in Livingston’s Battalion and the 2nd New York Regiment. He saw action at Saratoga, Newport, Springfield Heights, and at Yorktown.

It’s a remarkable untold story. I strongly recommend it if you’re interested in reading a firsthand account of the war from the rare perspective of a non-commissioned officer.
