Chapter One showed us the beauty of Leaf Isle. Now, Chapter Two takes away the whimsy and shows us a darker side of Broadleaf. With Beckett split from his father he's hunted by a vicious horde of feral squirrels that want to bury him alive!

Broadleaf #2 - Deeply Rooted

We continue the story of Hunter and his son Beckett. After learning that the animals of Leaf Isle can speak like humans, Hunter still insists on going home with fresh meat.

Chapter Two sees the father and son heading off the Isle with their prize. Night falls, a storm approaches, and Hunter is attacked by a revenge-fueled buck wanting vengeance for his dead brother. The two are split up and take very different paths through the forest. Hunter reunites with an old friend, and Beckett is hunted by a vicious horde of feral squirrels.

Hi!

My name is Brandon Horn and I wrote this 32 page comic about an Isle in Canada where every single animal can talk. Illustrated/Colored by Robert Jennex

In the first issue we meet Hunter & Beckett a father and son duo who try to bond during a hunting trip when they discover the animals can speak. This complicates things, but the hunt continues and Beckett takes a life.

Issue two continues their story as we head deeper into the woods. They’re split apart by a revenge-fueled buck and take very different paths through the forest. Hunter reunites with an old friend from his childhood on the Isle, and Beckett is hunted by a vicious pack of feral squirrels.
