Silksong x 30 Minute Missions

A custom Hornet build using Bandai's 30 Minute Line. The parts are kitbashed from various kits and then painted for the final look.

Pictures 1-8 Feature the cloaked model

Pictures 9-12 Feature upcoming crest weapon mod designs (no cloak, unpainted parts)

Picture 13 features a teaser for the final Diorama setpiece

My lightbox is a little small (it's mostly for standing Gundam poses) so you'll see a lot of the box's edge in the background.

I usually post my WIP stuff in the model kit subs but I figured this one is complete enough for me to put it in the main sub.

Real Happy with how the Needle turned out

Just some WIP pics for an upcoming diorama, have a lot of other projects going on though so doing my best to paint when I can.

Hornet herself is fully painted, her cloak just needs some adjustments.

Lace is still just white primer, she will be next to be painted but her faceplate was finished same time as Hornet's main body. The motorbike isn't important.

White roses for the Cradle arena, hopefully they are easy to work with.

Robo Yufia [S.C.A.M. wear]

So one of my Yufia kits was a dud and came with two 30mm kits.

However as an avid kitbasher I had a spare face base, neck, and body, and blonde hair piece. Gave her a big sword (the gun and shield were in the scam box as well). Combined parts of the two 30mm kits and she lives once more!

May have overdone it a bit

Visited my origin country on an unexpected emergency trip but managed to find time to make some purchases.

Did get scammed on one of the Yufia kits (I have a post about it on the 30ms subreddit) but somehow this all magically fit in one check-in luggage and one carry-on, with all my dirty laundry in the other check-in.

Mix of official and bootleg kits (and like 8 daiso bases) as prices were the same as home for me, but wanted to see how the sketchy market was. I did enjoy the bootleg/knockoff purchasing experience, as they would open the kits and verify all runners and decals against the booklet to ensure I didn't get scammed.

Made a rookie mistake and got scammed

I just got back from my origin country overseas and was so excited about finding a Yufia kit that I neglected to give the shake test. While setting up for a haul pic I noticed the box was rattling and my fears confirmed when I flipped the box to notice it was double taped.

I suppose its better than empty runners but still hurts, and it is not the same value as an unbuilt Yufia.

Luckily I had bought two with the intention to give one to my sibling but unfortunately they will have to wait or buy her a bit later. I did check the second box's runners and it was fine.

The irony of it all was it was bought at a regular retail store (Bandai prices +/-5 compared to Canada, just buying hard to find kits) and I assumed there wouldn't be such shenanigans. However I went to the "sktechy bootleg" market and the experience was insane as I was buying 9 kits for 90CAD but they opened all of them in front of you and verified every runner (without opening the plastic) and waterslide was complete against the instruction books. I would recommend that over mall retailers (unless you're a Bandai purist).

Lesson learned, shake your boxes and verify contents before leaving the store.

Acerby (Type-L) & (Type-H) [WIP]

Decided to stop fooling around with the madhouse bin of straight kitbashing 30m parts and finally work on finalizing some custom Acerby models. Currently in the priming phase and cleaning up various nubs and edges before full paint.

A lot of the parts in the prototype pictures were changed in the final version, though still on the fence for a few things. 99% 30mm parts, maybe 5 30ms parts and 1 ab piece.

Will have to paint one more additional cloak piece as I did not like the look of her left arm being visible.

Final pic (7) is fanservice.

Spinatio (SWOLE Type)

What was supposed to be a completely vanilla Spinatio Royal Knight descended into madness when I brought home an Extended Armor Vehicle (Armored Assault Mecha).

Significant modifications were required for the biceps (forearms of the mecha), and the hands. As you can see from my workshop I probably couldn't tell you where everything else comes from (all 30mm parts except for gunpla large hands round)

Complete with flexing poses, Jojo poses, comparison to vanilla Spinatio, Lego Wheel barbells and some meme poses.
