Extra Level 1 NACS Chargers? Favorite brands? Subaru/Toyota or something else?

Planning to eventually add a Level 2 when I complete a solar setup.

In the mean time, Level 1 will handle our regular charging needs. We've got a Tesla V3 a mile or two down the road at a grocery store to top off before any big trips.

Want to leave the OEM one in the car for traveling and pickup a decent Level 1 to leave connected at the house for nightly charging. Suggestions?

I've seen some suggest Lectron and Dewalt. But this is all new to us and wanted the input from other Subaru/Toyota EV owners.

CPAP - Anyone try car camping and using the Limited/Touring 120V power outlet all night?

Leaning towards the Trailseeker as our next vehicle instead of the Forester. First step into EVs for us. The base Premium has plenty of bells and whistles for us. However we are tempted to step up to the Limited for the 120V outlet if we can use it to power CPAP machines steadily through the night for potential camping. Unfortunately due to the CPAPs it puts a damper on backpack camping. This might allow us to at least car camp/glamp again.

Any issues with this that we aren't seeing? I grabbed a pdf copy of the manual and didn't immediately see problems with the idea. Didn't see anything saying that they shut off after x hours. The draw on the CPAPs is well below 1500w.

We've got an available Premium nearby. But if the outlet can work for this, we can wait for a Limited (or Touring).

Short Ratio, then post drip dilution. Is there a name for this style of pour?

Not sure where I picked it up, But I've been doing short 10:1 ratio pours and then diluting to taste, similar to as one would for an Americano.

For a smaller cup on Kalita Wave 155

  • 12g
  • Bloom 20-30g
  • Pour to 10:1 with 120g
  • 90s to 2min drip post-bloom
  • Directly to the cup, add a third more hot water, 40g.

Larger cups I use a Brewista X Wave and 20g.

Found it a more consistent and forgiving cup than what seems a more standard 15+:1 ratio. Also done it with Size 2 V60s (Both Hario and Yeti), but I've mainly been using glass, flat bottom brewers recently. Keeping the metal v60's packed away for travel and camping.

May have started by accident with muscle memory one tired morning as I'm used to making Americano. Might have read it somewhere. Struck me today that I don't have a name or origin for it. So I was curious if anyone else pours this way and what they call it.

Comprise Printing and PC Reservation

Been asked to look into Comprise's Public Printing Release and PC reservation products.

Curious what experience others have had. Just getting some initial information now, but hearing that the Printing solution converts all jobs to PDF before printing gives me pause.
