What do you think of the "Done For" Pokemon battle.

Context

The lyrics for "Done For" on Genius, and the EPIC cast party all talk about Circe summoning a Chimera then Odysseus summoning a Cyclops, and those to battle it out.

>[CIRCE summons a chimera]

[CIRCE]
If you makе one wrong move, then you're done for
Anything I don't approve, then you're done for
I could put a spell on you and you're done for
Boy, you better run or soon you will be done for.

...

[ODYSSEUS & CIRCE]
I've got people to protect, friends I can't neglect
So now there is no turning back

[ODYSSEUS summons a cyclops. The chimera and the cyclops begin fighting]

[ODYSSEUS & CIRCE]
You've made your one wrong move, now you're done for
I will be the one to prove that you're done for
Not even a spell saves you, 'cause you're done for
Oh, you better run or soon you will be done for

[ODYSSEUS' cyclops beats CIRCE'S chimera. ODYSSEUS pulls a sword to CIRCE'S throat]

My Thoughts

It seems kinda weird and out of place. How does Odysseus just summon a Cyclops? Is it supposed to a visual metaphor for the mental battle they are doing? It just feels wierd. I didn't even know this existed till I saw it in this video of an EPIC analysis

How do you customize the accessibility shortcuts menu?

https://preview.redd.it/kndi62yd5dah1.png?width=1430&format=png&auto=webp&s=7d94ae39c162386078c8a45e01a19bb2b00e1ee7

I feel like color filters is my most used toggle. It's not a lot, but when I want a greyscale screen, it is handy. However, it is stuck in the settings, so in order to flip that one toggle, I have to click the settings button to open a full window. This is annoying when I can see there is a framework for easy access, just not for the button I actually want most often.

Would you want a cold open in Illium? (Includes discussion of Illium snippets)

After listening to Six, and reading The Illiad, I want a cold opening in Illium, something about wrath. I like the strong one word sentences from Six's "Ex-Wives".

>[CATHERINE OF ARAGON]
Divorced
[ANNE BOLEYN]
Beheaded
[JANE SEYMOUR]
Died
[ANNA OF CLEVES]
Divorced
[KATHERINE HOWARD]y
Beheaded
[CATHERINE PARR]
Survived

The Illiad starts by talking about the anger and wrath of Achilles.

>Sing, O goddess, the anger of Achilles son of Peleus, that brought countless ills upon the Achæans.
-Samuel Butler's translation

>Goddess, sing of the cataclysmic wrath
of great Achilles, son of peleus
-Emily Wilson's translation.

Would you want this opening line translated into the musical in some form? For example, a quick idea.

>Wrath. Anger. Pain. Fire. Illium. Never shall I gaze upon a burning Troy.

I don't know if this conflicts with Jorge's vision. But it could be a cool start to "Fire", if that is the first song. Would this work do you think. I also don't know if the existing "Fire" is supposed to be the beginning or not though.

Edit: The "Fire" example was an attempt to tie my idea into the existing snippets. I don't know if it needs to be that song specifically.

Are there any civilian ships they’ve discussed?

I feel like a lot of Sojourn ship breakdowns I see online tend to skew military. Do we know for sure any ships that are built and designed for civilians? Maybe something like an RV, personal vehicle, racing ship, ice hauler, etc?

I know the Guinevere is technically civilian, but it also was built as a military ship.

Why are the voice memories and navigation done through a phone app?

I just started playing around with the Switch 2 edition. After a few minutes, it seems annoying to have to have my phone if I want to find voice memories.

Why isn’t that included as part of the Switch 2 game download? I’d rather if it was just integrated into the game, rather than needing a phone out. I wish it worked more like the shrine sensor, where it is just in my game.

The QR code sharing stuff makes sense to have on a phone. Just not the map and voice memories.

It’s not just this movie, Homer’s Odyssey isn’t historically accurate either

I keep seeing people on YouTube talking about the historical inaccuracies in this. People talking about the armor or the boats or the racial casting. When I started actually reading the Odyssey, I noticed this in the introduction.

> The Homeric poems reflect a mixture of artifacts and practices that existed at different historical times (such as divergent funeral practices, by burial or cremation, and different dowry practices). Indeed, the poems seem to have no interest in conveying an accurate, realistic account of the culture in which they were produced. Rather, they combine elements of a fictionalized, heroicized past with details of the more recent or contemporary world.
>
> *The Odyssey*, Trans. Emily Wilson, introduction “When was the Odyssey Composed”

I know that’s just someone’s idea added on, but she is a translator and Homer scholar who presumably knows what she is talking about.

TLDR: I don’t think the mixed up historical details is that different from *The Odyssey*, which also didn’t get historical details right.

▲ 1 r/Steam

Edit: I understand the process of it being locked, and what that means. I am mostly asking about licensing and whether or not Steam will let us use third party.

I’ve been seeing a few reviews where people are sad the controller won’t work in other software.

My question is basically how this works. Is it because Steam is locking hardware, and it is against TOS to use of a different software, or is it more like they simply don’t want to develop the software.

If it is the latter, then I am sure they would be fine with community-made support for the controller to work across a system. I am sure this option will happen eventually regardless.
