Question regarding nanny shares and overtime

I’m seeing so many different things and want to make sure that I compensate our nanny appropriately. I’m in a share with one other family. Is the 40 hours for overtime from our family affected by hours where the nanny is watching the other family’s children solo? So if we have 25 combined hours, 10 hours separate with our family, and 10 hours separate with the other family — would that be 5 hours of OT needing accounted for? Thank you so much in advance!

A $40,000-per-Year AI School With No Teachers Is Opening in Oklahoma This August — Only a matter of time for Ohio

With the pushes in this state to route taxpayer money towards private and charter schools, grifts like this one will likely come for our state if we keep down this path.

Dealing with rose of Sharon growth across the lawn (Ohio, USA)

So the previous owners really liked roses of Sharon, but for reasons beyond me skipped dead-heading the flowers. As such, I’ve been dealing with these sprouts all over the lawn. At first I could keep up manually, but I’m at my wit’s end. While I was hoping to avoid spraying chemicals, is that ultimately the best option here? Would mowing over them enough eventually kill them off?

I’d also be curious about native alternatives I could replace them with once I take the established plants out.

Thanks!

Damaged Tree in Front Yard (USA - OH)

I unfortunately didn’t notice until after we closed, but one of the trees in our front yard seems to have sustained some damage presumably from a storm. There is a dead limb from the split that I plan to remove in the near future, but there is growth upstream from the break that seems to be doing quite well.

My main question is whether or not it appears that the break will heal in a way that will support the living segment, or should I preemptively cut down anything above that split? Thankfully there are no structures in the immediate vicinity so potential for damage is low at this time.

Thanks in advance!
