Ghosting only when reading darker manga

Hi there, am I the only one experimenting ghosting on Viwoods AI Paper Mini ?

When a page is dark, I still see some ghosting even on Best display with auto ghosting removal enabled.

It disappear on manual refreshing from the top left slide down gesture. Couldn't it be automated ?

I don't experience any ghosting on white pages, the auto ghosting removal already works great.

[Guide] Finally fixed the "invisible stutter" in Rocket League after years of frustration (FreSync/GSync fix)

Hey everyone,

If you're like me and have spent the last few years dealing with weird, random stutters that come out of nowhere, this post is for you.

The symptoms:

  • Your FPS counter looks stable.
  • The game feels unresponsive; inputs don't match the action.
  • The image glitches weirdly sometimes.
  • Most importantly: It's inconsistent, which makes the cause incredibly hard to identify.

What I tried (and failed): I've tried almost every standard troubleshooting step you can find online:

  • Thermal checks (temps were fine).
  • CPU and RAM diagnostics.
  • Swapped between Full-screen, Borderless, and Windowed modes.
  • Disabled Windows "Fullscreen Optimizations."
  • Tried/Disabled Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling.
  • Toggled Windows Variable Refresh Rate.
  • Cranked settings to lowest.
  • Tweaked NVIDIA Control Panel settings.
  • Edited config files to cap RL FPS.
  • Switched controllers between Bluetooth and wired.
  • Even reinstalled Windows and built a completely new PC (post-RAMflation).

Nothing worked. The stutter persisted.

The Solution: If you have a Freesync or GSync monitor enabled, try this. It finally fixed it for me. Basically you don't want to cap your FPS exactly at your monito refresh rate.

Option A (Lowest Input Lag):

  • Keep Freesync/GSync ENABLED.
  • Turn OFF VSync.
  • CRITICAL: Cap your FPS below your monitor's max refresh rate.
    • Example: If you have a 165Hz monitor, cap your FPS at 144.

Option B (Smoothest image, slight input lag):

  • Disable Freesync/GSync on the monitor.
  • Enable VSync.

It sounds simple, but the combination of Freesync/GSync running at the exact refresh rate limit was causing the micro-stutters for me.

Credit: I found this solution from this comment by another user. Thanks to them for sharing!

Hope this saves someone else the headache!

Before anyone asks, this is my notes. Yes I take notes using markdown. Yes this is the syntax these clankers use. And no I'm not a lazy *******, if I was I wouldn't be sharing a fix with people on the internet.

The voice in my head keeps telling me to cut my hair. But I'm afraid, any advices ?

Hi,

I had long hair for the past 8+ years. I love the look, love the fact that I go the the barber once a year and give away the trimmed length to people with diseases.

But I can't stand :

  • Always tying my hair up with high bun, it's making me have headaches.
  • Always tying low buns or ponytails is bothering me when sitting at a chair (software engineer) or in the car because it make me slouch because of the added volume at the back of my head.
  • Always struggling with either one for sport as it falls down or simply bothers me during certain movements (stretching, moves on the ground, handstands...)

Basically I'm afraid of becoming once again a copy of any man (no offence but man I love the look of long hair, feels soo much different), but I can't stand long hair as I'm always tying them up and getting bothered by it. But it took me almost 2 years to grow it bellow my shoulders, which is quite a lot to go about again if I regret it.

It's been a dilemma for weeks and I need help and advices of people with similar background or just with insights about how it could fit me. I have thin and fine hair I'd say, at least that's how it feels to me.

Thanks in advance to anyone, I'm hopping to gather something here that would help me stop delaying a decision.

Looking for a bot that allow for gaming night scheduling and polling

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a bot that would allow to create in a single event a double poll :

  • Polling for games (choose between different options)
  • Polling for présence (yes, no, maybe)

So that I can create a weekly recurring event when participating people can vote for the game that will be played.

A calendar sync would be a plus.

Any idea if that exists ? Workaround involve Apollo or sesh using separated game poll and schedule poll but I'd like a consolidated option.

Thanks in advance !

EDIT: GroupFlows does it pretty well, we are using it !
