Working on making Caine his top bat in traditional felting style using this bobbin for the pull in, but I need to know if this is proportionate for his his cap as a felting base? Thoughts? As usual I'm asking for actual help if you're here to diss on my project just ignore it, I've been getting that a lot recently which is extremely unfortunate with a thread with "love" literally in the name.

I just removed the faces on those little dolls from my last post, and I wanted to come here and warn anyone who is gonna use them BE READY! The 100% acetone STRUGGLED to remove the face, I had to scrape at it, soak it, and finally scrape using a q-tip after already using swab pads and a precision knife!
I found a doll line that I've not seen anyone use yet! And with a bit of modifications, I think their proportions are perfect for little nightmares kids! The dolls I have will probably end up as Mono and Six, but they're called HeyBestie and they're at Walmart! I'm very excited! They're absolutely TINY, shorter than the CaveClub I'm using for Caine without the head!
Hello everyone! I've been really into making boy dolls recently and gave been trying to find a few dolls! I was wondering if anyone had an Invisibilly monster high that they didn't want, I have a specific project I'm looking to do, specifically Mettaton, but I just can't find one if can afford as I've just recently gotten my first job. I can pay shipping. I would prefer if the person was from the US because I'm rather nervous about packages being lost and tariffs are a pain. If anyone can help feel free to reach out.

Alright here are his eyes and where I'm considering placement wise, what do we think of it, does it need changed at all?
Try doing this BEFORE you do your custom, this has held up very well for me.
If you get a doll on a second hand site and it's got loose hinge joints, take a gumb band, I find tight bracket bands the kind that go over your hook brackets, and double wrap under the joint! Turn and roll said joint until it's under the joint cover and altho the band may eventually break, the thickness of that bracket band holds up! And they're extremely cheap on Amazon! I've had the bands on Dain for months and they've not needed replaced even once and they blend in extremely well if you put them on before your custom!
Here's our size! We're gonna cut him in half and size up his torso for a broader "dorito" shape! I'm very pleased with the head and finally came up with an idea for his eyes but I'm waiting on supplies, gonna make the eyes them self and the mechanism when the supplies arrive but so far the head is made and tongue has been placed, im gonna go for it yrs about quarter sized with wires and nylon for eyelids to hide the cup mechanism! The tongue will be hiding magnets! I'm hoping to get something similar how action figure eyes are held only on a larger scale while still being removable! Fingers crossed it works out how I'm imagining!
I'm doing a big project! Bigger than ever! Lots of modifications and a whole new head! I'm making Caine! But I've run into an issue! I really want him to have posable eyes that can swivle and turn while still being removable! See the picture for what were working with, any ideas will be considered, and if you don't have anything, don't worry I'll work it out. I have a few ideas already so don't stress!
And today we have a joint! They will be getting appoxy sculpt to tighten and hold it, very excited about that, my tests actually proved that it holds a pose for a bit! No eyes yet so that's up next along with his actual neck peg! Over all he's coming along exactly as pictured and I can't wait to update you all on the eyes! We're going for posable eyes and lids! We've got the head! He's coming along well and I'm gonna keep up working on it, but I think that's it for today's posts! Gonna make the hands bigger,and get that top jaw little bigger and such add the eyes, and figure out a joint for the jaw! Thank everyone for the support, this is the most mod intensive doll I've made, so I'm excited to show the process! Any advice would be awesome, even if you don't know dolls, knowledge of the character things you want to see him with, that sort of thing! It'll be great! Love everyone!
Teeth update!
We have lost a fang, it will be replaced, but we lost one, for now we're on to the bottom jaw, working on adding until I have a workable shape then onto papermachae and epoxy sculpt!
Is this a good size for Caine's head? I'm working on a custom doll and wanted some opinions about it for some help from the comunity. He's gonna be my take on the character but I want it to still be accurate to the character! Help would be appreciated, thank you all!
Just found out I can colour mix chalk pastels mortar and pestal style! I'm pretty good with colours so Im rather happy that I've found this out before I wasted hundreds in specific colours instead of the basic mungyo colours! For any one who wants to mix but doesn't know what to mix them in I'm literally using a mini verse mix bowl and a felting needle holder as a grind mixer!
My favorite part of making my dolls is adding ring details that you'd only see if you really looked. Demetri is my favorite so far because I have unlimited time for him and endless experimentation! I wanted to make him feel like a person and as such one of my things is adding differences in hair, blush, and for him, I thought through each tattoo! As such I wanted him to have the occasional stupid tattoo that is time period relevant like the 2000s mustache and the more recent, trampoline! To make my characters "alive" I like individual things to each character! Thinking through their lives and how when they were alive, and how you think they would want themselves to be seen by others!
Two dolls I'm working on!
Officially meet "that one tattooed doll" Demetrius! And his SO Dane! Demetri is a vampire and Dane is a Ghost (the weird patches are because Dane fell in the wet grass and I tried to quickly remove the grass with water and didn't know the sealent changes colour. But I freestyled some vitiligo ghosty patches for him! I have a weird shaduf. Technique then I add freckles, body hair, face details, and so on, but so I'm onto his blush and texture, Dem is onto his hair and piercings
I was thinking, and first off I know I've been chatting a lot, I'm just excited to talk to other dollmakers!
My sister had me rewatch an older show that we grew up on a long time ago! It was fun and we hadn't even discussed it in a long time, but it really did make up a lot of my old memories! It was called Ninjago! My favorite character was Zane! And I never knew why, but looking back now I realize its because I was autistic, and my parents never thought to test me, and I unsurprisingly sympathized with the character! (Until that episode about his past) But as I've talked about, I like physical forms of my favorite characters! I'm considering Mettaton, David Bowie's Jerith the Goblin King, and a few others, especially some of my own original characters! But thinking about it I realized Heath Burns has the correct skin tone and a good face shape for Zane! And as usual I found the idea fun, but I also realized that it only would reach work for a few seasons worth of the character! But Slo Mo would make a pretty good Titanium Zane! And while I'm thinking about it, I could make pixle out of a Rochel Goyal that I believe I may already have!
I don't know if this is interesting to anyone, but I got excited and tend to feel the need to chat about things!
Also, I'd you want a tiny character for your characters to interact with, it isn't posable, but a heroes forge D&D miniature may work well for a peterpan and Tinkerbell Disney character! (Yet another I'm considering from my childhood!)

HEY EVERYONE! so I've been working on this doll for a while, the one with the tattoos (his name is Demetri) and I wanted to give him some fishnets! But I was rather nervous when looking online because it never quite looked right! However I used to help raise monarch butterflies and one of the items in our supplies was a little netting piece! Its a great size for dolls if you're looking for a smaller net! So if you're looking for a good cheap material for doll nets I suggest that white netting that comes around garlic bulbs!
I'm continuing with the doll from the last post (the one with the tatts) and I was gonna order some stuff for a better result with piercings! So! If anyone is good with prices can I get a second opinion?

Hello everyone! I've been rather into customs and have done several! However I want to farther add to my abilities! I have an idea to make a fanart doll of Rouxls Kaard from Deltarune out of a Slo Mo doll, however he's not as blue as I'd like? I would've used a Hyde, but he's EXTREMELY expensive, so I was hoping to dye him! Tho I can't find an exact tutorial that doesn't end in sploches or other problems!
I would love to know if anyone has experience who could give me a quick step by step on how to get a good dye on the monster high boy bodies.

I did tattoos on one of my dolls and it looked too bright and brand new! To add a bit of storytelling on your doll and "how long they've had each tattoo" use foundation powder over the tattoos! The more powder the more grown over it looks!
