Finding an expert on helmet paint seemed feasible here. I've got these ww1 us helmets, I have my suspicions on the 3rd infantry white and blue being modern paint, the others I do pretty firmly believe I have originals, confirm my suspicions on the 3rd inf? It's a nice helmet aside from the sketchy paint it's got sand and being a British made going for it. Plus I only picked it up for 120.
Guy in the back didn't trade back my galaxy grim for retrades
It looks like a variant or something like a frogskin usmc cover but it's too small to fit over an m1 shell
Got an 8 maybe 9? point from my local woods last duck season , was just chillin out in the grass has to take it with me , super thick bases on the antlers either way I don't hunt deer so a decent buck skull was pretty wicked to come across
Painted during armistice by my grandfather Glen E Tilton , he served with the 2nd infantry 5th marines 2nd battalion, the 12th field artillery and then at the end of the war with the 36th infantry 111th sanitary train from what I understand he was a chaplain for most of not all of that
Have some worries about the patch, as it is way off tilted in an x and it's supposed to be a + I looked it up and it said this is normal for the time period but I want a second opinion ,if it's ligit could be an interesting piece especially since I live next to the where the oregon and santa fe trails met and split off
Decent sized ammo collection , just picked up a live raufoss 211 the green tip one in the second photo
My ever growing id collection feel free to take a peek if you recognize someone or want to talk about or see anything specific happy to oblige.
I've got probably close to 50 or so 75th anniversary coke bottles from St Louis plant still sealed with coke looking to get it in the right hands
