Did a little experiment with ultra wide lens and grid flash.

Super program w 18-28mm lens, Pentax AF280T and magmod v1 grid modifier. I was shooting at f8 & f11 so the flash really falls off.

I used TTL mode, the little green “good exposure” confirmation light did not blink so I was worried these shots wouldn’t turn out. It’s probably since the flash coverage is only about 25% of the frame and not evenly lit.

Gives a spooky flashlight effect I think is kinda neat.

Film is expired tmax 400 shot at 200 dev in hc110 dil B for 6m at 68F. Scanned silverfast 8 on v600.

Your photography name: The last roll you finished + the camera you used + the last thing you’ve eaten.

For me it’s : Fuji400 + Super Program + Sloppy Joe.

Whitewater lake, WI

As part of our Memorial Day weekend backpacking trip, we began our trip with one night car camping at Whitewater Lake Campground in Wisconsin’s Kettle Moraine state forest. My wife and dog and I hiked an additional 20 miles over the next 2 days.

RIP Old Blue

I purchased a budget model gander mountain branded blue 3p budget tent in 2017 during the liquidation sale, and it has served me well for almost 10 years, but Friday night as my wife was setting it up she broke a tent pole! I jammed the broken end of the pole into the connector, and splinted the splintering pole with a green switch of buckthorn and a bunch of tape, but old blue isn’t long for this world, and I’m afraid it’s time to put old blue down. This tent isn’t our biggest, or our most expensive, but it was the first tent my wife and I started camping together in, and currently the only tent we have for backpacking that fits both of us and the dog. I guess it’s time to shell out $500 for a new 3p backpacking tent. Feel free to recommend your favorite. Drink to the memory of old blue this weekend!
