Anybody from BP? Experience like? Pay? Etc.
Anybody bounce from BP and if so how has it been? You like it? How’s the pay? Hours/Shifts? How is the camaraderie? You regret it or no? Any experience with SRT or special teams like intelligence would be appreciated as well!
RGV BP to ? - Seeking Advice
Currently in the RGV with BP, I make good money, but afraid I won’t see a Saturday till Year 10 or up unless the BP God blesses me with a specialty unit long-term.
BLUF: I’m just trying to go to my kids tournaments as they grow up. (Yes I knew I wasn’t likely to see a weekend when I applied unless I went BORSTAR/BORTAC right out the gate)
USSS and DEA seem to always have announcements open for the area, should I apply to them or wait for other openings to come up? I’ve put in for other OIG gigs in the area recently.
ALSO, we may look to move to the Dallas Area (family) in the next 4-6 years, so if I do go 1811 how hard is it to move locations once brought in? Should I just stick it out with BP till then or get in the 1811 door as soon as I can? I don’t really want to go to another 6-12 month academy/academia, but I understand it’s a necessity.

Bootleg Ragers Merch?
Anybody have bootleg merch? Went to the Austin show and missed the dude selling shirts outside the venue! Met a dude on here but he isn’t responding! Just trying to buy a shirt or two! Lmk! DM me or post below!
Did I f*ck up? Veteran.
30 yr old. 7 year Army Officer Vet. About to graduate with O-MBA from UofArizona. Current Fed LEO.
I’m about to finishing my O-MBA this year, and I see this thread and can’t shake the feeling I could’ve done more. I see you guys making $200k + and I am just a Fed LEO making about $150k (Salary + 100% VA)
No school debt but some personal debt (About $30k)
I’m happy in my profession, it feels like the military with the structure and predictability in pay, but I’m getting this MBA and I know that my family and I would love more money. I have high aspirations and want to move up the ladder as high as I can get in a 20 year career and plan to.
Should I pivot?
