2.7 YOE .NET Developer looking for a switch to Chennai/Bangalore — Need guidance for 10–12 LPA

Hi everyone,

I’m Sandhoshsivan, currently working as a .NET Developer with around 2.7 years of experience. I’m looking for a job switch, preferably in Chennai, though I’m also open to Bangalore.

I’ve been applying for the past two months and have been able to clear interviews with a few smaller companies. They’re offering around a 30% hike, which comes to approximately 6–7 LPA. However, I’m targeting roles in the 10–12 LPA range.

I’m currently preparing for DSA and LLD because I’ve realised that interviews are quite different from the work I do day to day. I’m comfortable with my regular .NET and backend work, API development, SQL, and related tasks, but I need to improve in some of the areas that are commonly tested during interviews.

I’m ready to learn and put in the effort, but I would really appreciate guidance from people who have gone through a similar job switch.

If you’re working as a .NET Developer in Chennai or Bangalore, or if you’ve recently moved from a service-based company to a better-paying product-based company or MNC, I’d be grateful for your advice on:

  • What should I focus on over the next two months?
  • How much DSA is generally expected from a .NET Developer with 2–3 years of experience?
  • Which LLD topics should I prioritise?
  • How can I improve my chances of getting shortlisted for 10–12 LPA roles?
  • Are there any companies or recruiters I should consider?

I can share my portfolio or resume if anyone is willing to review it and provide honest feedback.

I’m serious about making this switch so I can grow in my career and support my family better. Any genuine advice or guidance would mean a lot.

Thanks in advance.

Looking for guidance to build a faceless YouTube channel that can eventually earn around $300–400/month

Hi everyone,

I'm a 25-year-old software developer, and I'm looking for some honest advice from people who have actually built successful faceless YouTube channels.

My goal isn't to get rich overnight. I just want to build a channel that can eventually generate around $300–400 (₹25,000–₹35,000) per month as a side income. That amount would make a huge difference for my family and help us financially.

I'm willing to put in the work and stay consistent for months or even years if needed. I don't mind learning new skills like scripting, editing, SEO, or AI tools.

A few questions I have:

  • If you were starting from scratch today, what niche would you choose?
  • Is faceless YouTube still worth starting in 2026?
  • Should I focus on YouTube automation, educational content, storytelling, finance, tech, or something else?
  • What mistakes should beginners avoid?
  • How long did it take you to earn your first $100?
  • Which AI tools or software genuinely save time without hurting quality?
  • Would you recommend starting with one channel or multiple?

A little about me:

  • Full-time software engineer.
  • Interested in technology, AI, software development, investing, and personal finance.
  • I can learn editing and automation if required.
  • I can dedicate around 2–3 hours every day consistently.

I'm not looking for "get rich quick" methods. I genuinely want to build a real digital asset that grows over time.

If you've built a profitable faceless channel or have experience in this space, I'd really appreciate any advice, roadmap, or lessons you've learned.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. It could genuinely help me improve my family's financial situation.
