Need advice: dry cleaner stained my wedding dress, do I trust them to try and fix it?

I brought my wedding dress to my local dry cleaner to be cleaned and preserved (in retrospect should definitely have gone to a specialist).

It came back with these chemical stains where they’d clearly tried to clean the grass and mud stains. They told me it’s a cleaning agent that hadn’t been rinsed properly and that they will try and get it off.

Is this an easy/common mistake I can trust them to fix? Or did they really mess up and should I force them to refund me and pay for damages?

The last thing I want is them making the stain worse.

The dress is made of Polyester Mikado.

PSA: Avoid Angelo’s Dry Cleaners on Meadow Street

I took my wedding dress to Angelo’s Dry-cleaners to be dry cleaned. In retrospect I should have taken it to a reputable wedding dress specialist, but Angelo’s told me they had wedding dress cleaning and preservation experience. For the $300 price tag, I assumed they would do a decent job.

When I picked up the dress, I was devastated to find that Angelo’s had ruined my dress. The train had some light grass and mud stains typical for an outdoor wedding. Angelo’s used the improper type of cleaning agent for the fabric of the dress, resulting in a massive chemical stain that is way worse than the initial grass and mud stains.

The worst thing is that they charged us $300 and pretended nothing happened. I guess they assumed I would just stick it in the closet and never check.

Please take your fragile and expensive items to another town instead of using Angelo’s just because they are the only store in town. They are both incompetent and dishonest. I am heartbroken at what they have done to my dress.
