How do I get my 1950s kitchen considered as a filming location?

A funny thing happened over the Fourth of July weekend. Friends came over and they were enamored by my 1950s kitchen and said that it looked like it was straight out of a movie set. Very little has been updated, outside of appliances (50s sink, counter tops, and walls covered in enameled tin tile).

This got me thinking… how does one get their room or house considered as a filming location?

I’d love to hear from anybody who may have some knowledge in this. I do have some really cool mid-century modern furniture and tableware as well!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Thanks, SW Friends!

I know SW employees get a lot of vitriol from arrogant and dim-witted contractors, but I want to give you all a shoutout…in a good way.

We’re having a massive heatwave here. My contractor husband went to his local store to pick up paint this morning and employees were handing out cold Gatorade. It’s a small gesture, but it means a lot to the families of the good contractors.

Thank you for keeping an eye on them and helping to make sure they’re hydrated.
