The anxiety is killing me. Today is Day 5 of my period, and I’m still bleeding—something like this has never happened to me in my 32 years. Plus, in my country, there are no facilities available to run diagnostic tests; I live in Cuba. Has anyone else experienced bleeding like this on the fifth day of their period? My mind just keeps jumping straight to cervical cancer.

I am going to share my story—what is happening to me—as best as I can. I am 32 years old and live in Cuba. I went to the hospital, but they don't have the supplies to perform any tests or an ultrasound. My period started on April 8th; by the 5th day, it seemed to be tapering off, but on the 6th day, the bleeding returned and continued until the 13th. During those days, the blood was a very bright red. After that day, I stopped bleeding. However, early this morning—in the wee hours—I went downstairs and passed this tissue. I am terrified because I started bleeding again right after walking down the stairs, and I am very afraid that it might be cervical or uterine cancer. Has anyone else experienced this? The photo shows what I passed, as well as the appearance of my discharge today.

I had a disruption in my last period—it was as if I had two periods back-to-back, so the bleeding lasted 13 days. Yesterday marked the 28th day of my cycle and my period still hasn't arrived. It started on April 8th and ended on the 20th, and according to my calendar, it was due already. Has anyone else experienced their period not coming after a disruption like this? I am not pregnant because I haven't had sex in two years. I'm 32 years old and I'm very worried.

Hello, I'm 32 years old and this is the first time anything strange has happened to me during my period. My period started, and on the 5th it was winding down, but on the 6th it started again heavily until the 8th. After that, I had bright red spotting with fresh blood until the 12th or 13th. It didn't stain the pad as such; I only noticed it because I inserted my finger into my vagina. I'm afraid it might be something serious. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I live in Cuba, and it's very difficult to get medical checkups in my country, and there are no private clinics. I'm afraid it's something serious. I've attached a photo of what the staining looked like after the 8th.
