I'm working on a dark fantasy action comic that features characters who gain their powers from using a spiritual force called Pneuma that emanates within themselves and is responsible for fuelling their abilities. The most common abilities granted by Pneuma include spiritual awareness, psionics, matter manipulation, and a superhuman physicality. Individuals capable of using their Pneuma are known as Spiritualists and fall into one of four classes depending on the nature of their powers.

- Vanguard: Direct combat

- Aegis: Defensive capabilities

- Sibyl: Information gathering and navigational skills

- Magus: Healing and power enhancement

Similar to biological DNA, each being has access to a different form of Pneuma which have distinct properties form one another. These properties dictate a being’s capabilities as well as intrinsic aspects of their physiology.

- Numen: An innocuous power that is nearly inherently destructive o beneficial, making it the most versatile and greatly compatible with other variants. Commonly utilized by humans, animals, and a handful of Otherborn.

- Lazarus: A necrotic power common among undead beings. Has mainly distortive effects on its surroundings whether it be used on other beings or even the environment itself.

- Ayin: An abyssal power used by demons and death gods which causes negative effects from inflicting psychological harm to causing death and destruction on a massive scale. Ayin users exist in a state of unbirth; meaning they cannot die because they were never alive in the first place.

- Yesh: A celestial power used by divine beings and the direct opposite of Ayin; having beneficial effects when in use from creating and restoring life to spawning entire realms and bringing out divine miracles. All users of Yesh possess a high level of immortality and are nigh-impossible to kill.

Note: Both Ayin and Yesh are strong and weak against each other with Ayin being the ultimate poison and Yesh being the ultimate antidote.
