What's your go-to Negroni recipe? And did Tony have a recipe preference?
Seeing all the birthday tribute Negronis to Tony got me thinking, how different everybody seems to take their Negroni.
What's your recipe?
I'll kick off:
- 1 part Plymouth Gin (I'm from there, so I can't not)
- 1 part Campari (although I do love the Luxardo Rosso Bitters too - very powerful flavours)
- 1/2 part Vermouth - Vermouth Cocchi Storico Di Torino when I can justify the cost, but honestly I'll settle for a cheaper vermouth as long as the flavour isn't too overpowering.
- 1 x block of square of large whiskey ice, a big iced glass, and a slice of orange peel
