Why didn't Rimuru use the dead end rainbow sword he stole from hinata the first time? it would have been much more effective

The issue is that the setup is asking me to verify my screen lock pattern, which I have but it doesn't seem to recognize. It also stays after both the phone's factory reset and a phone reset on google. I have the google account, sim, and IMEI if that helps. Does anyone have advice or how to help...
