AIO for not wanting to room with a bunch of guys for a bachelor party weekend?
I’m in my mid-30s, and I’ll be going to Las Vegas for a four-day bachelor party with the groom and the other groomsmen.
The thing is, I only know the groom. I’ve never met any of the other guys.
Before any plans were finalized, I talked to the groom and told him I’d be happy to pay for our room if we got one with two queen beds. He initially agreed. Then, in the group chat, the best man suggested getting one of those bunk-bed suites because it would be more fun and probably cheaper.
Maybe I’m in the minority, but as a married guy in my 30s with kids, I have zero interest in bunking with a bunch of grown men—especially people I’ve never met before. I’d honestly rather pay extra to have my own space and a normal bed. I don’t really understand the appeal of cramming everyone into one room just to save some money.
I even told the groom I’d be happy to spend more if it meant having a regular room. Am I being unreasonable here, or is it normal to want a little privacy and comfort at this stage in life? I don’t want this summer camp type setup.
I want an honest opinion Am I overreacting?
