Pregnant doe in Texas during summer questions
We recently got a breeding trio of tamuks and didn't think they were of breeding age yet (unfortunately never got a straight answer from the guy we got them from), but one of the does is starting to make a nest in a 5 gallon bucket we have about halfway in the ground. We are hoping that it will stay cool because it's in the ground, but should we move the nest/bucket or even take it out to replace with something better? It's hot here and will only get worse. We put ice in their water, have frozen bottles and a fan, but idk what we could do for kits inside the bucket. (Colony setup)
Another worry is the size as we built them based off of seeing other colony set ups using the buckets as nests, but it definitely seems small. First time mama and first litter for us if she is pregnant. We haven't seen any fur pulling, just straw in the nest.
Foundation repair? Structural engineer recommendations
We have cracks in our ceiling tape and a crack in the corner of a wall. I've seen advice to have a structural engineer look at it first so foundation companies don't over estimate the repair. I've also been told to fix the issue now before it gets bigger and more expensive. I'd love recommendations and opinions on our situation. Thanks so much!
Edit to add : should we try to get it covered by the 10 year home warranty? Built by Dr horton
Fur pulled in new colony set up?
Just got a new trio in our colony set up (just have the three). This is the fourth day they've been in, and they seem to be adjusting well. This morning, there were five or six hair tufts on the ground from one of the girls. She's not old enough to be pregnant so could it be from stress or fighting? Or something else we should be worried about?
Christian Hand Embroidery Patterns
Figured I'd share my hand embroidery shop that I started a little less than a year ago. I have barely been getting any views in the past months... currently trying to post consistently on Pinterest in hopes that it will pay off in the future!
