Imogene, Black Bear (today); Cinnamon and Engineer yesterday. I followed a more experienced driver and had an amazing time. To think these roads only exist due to mining operations started over 140 years ago is mind blowing.

Camping at Amphitheater Campground

I have a campsite at Amphitheater Sunday night. The remaining days of the week the only availability is first come/first served. Do those ever open up and can you stay in the for multiple nights, or do you have reup every day?

Assaulted on the Hike and Bike Trail

This morning I (60 M) was riding my bike with a friend east bound on the north side of the trail between I-35 and Pleasant Valley when a man in a group running four wide decided to shoulder check me very hard. I didn't crash, but this jerk just kept moving. He later said it was an accident. It wasn't. What chicken shit. At least own it. I was on the right side of the trail and he was in the middle. I'm disappointed I didn't immediately think to file a police report and follow him until the cops came. Totally uncalled for.

Denial

I’m seeing Rush in four hours and I’m still in denial.

Not longer in denial and I can say with conviction this is the best Rush show I’ve seen over 43 years.

Need Horn of Odin stage image.

Hi. Does anyone have a good picture of the horn of Odin stage image? I want to get it tattooed on my forearm under the Snakes and Arrows tattoo I’ve had since 2012.

Dinner

It took almost two years but I finally fed this to my family for dinner. Note: it’s not burned; it’s crispy. IYKYK

Edit: I live in Texas and put Texas Toast and Thick Cut Bacon on the grocery list. One package says Texas Toast and the other says Thick Cut Bacon. It’s not from the brand I would have chosen. Y’all are too much. For the record I do not wear square toed boots and I never will.

New user. Dreams may be a problem

Hi. New user here. Last night my Apple Watch determined I entered Atrial Fibrillation during my sleep because my heart rate frequently went over 150. Within a two second period it went from 76 to 165 to 87 bpm. I started this med about five weeks ago and have been on 50 mg for four weeks. The dreams became me more vivid almost immediately but don’t bother me. I’m attributing this to the dreams because I’ve never had A-fib. My resting heart rate is usually around 50. Has anyone else experienced this?

Este - As seen in Texas Monthly

I learned about the existence of slap tacos in Texas Monthly. They’re made with corn tortillas, a thin slide of Wagyu prime ribeye, asadero Coates and guacamole, charred onions and cilantro. The cheese is grilled. I tried it at Este tonight and it was amazing, as was everything else. It’s called the Cachetada Taco.
