Leadville

Heading to Leadville over the weekend. I would like to take the Bronco Sport on a few trails to see how it does. Any suggestions of where to look? The Sport has 1.5 lift and larger tires. I have done off-roading before, but in Texas and in a Jeep.

Maxtrax Lite mounting

I am having trouble finding a complete answer for this. If I am mounting Maxtrax lite (2) on the ARB 3/4 rack, what all do I need? Seems like M8 t bolts, locking pins 17mm and 2 brackets/mounting plates will do the trick. Is this correct? Anyone have a good mounting plate the really like for either super flat on top or angled off side? Thnx

First trail in the new rig

Took the ‘26 ZR2 for its maiden voyage today. Lamartine Rd to Saxon Mountain Rd. Idaho Springs to Georgetown, CO. This thing is a mountain goat. Copilot needs to brush up on his navigational skills, though.

Found Pitchfork on Switzerland

Like the title says, I found a short handled pitchfork on the side of Switzerland North today…and like…just want to know why the hell someone would take a pitchfork with them wheeling?

I’ve been wheeling for almost 20 years now, and out of all of the tools I’ve ever wished I had with me on the trail that was never one of them. But I guess now I have a pitchfork in the back of my rig…

Beginner off roading with camping in Pikes Peak area?

Hi, me and my friend decided it sounds fun to take his wrangler out for a few days of camping and off roading. It’s on 35’s so it’s got some alright clearance. Are there any good trails with camping (either sites or dispersed)? We are both beginners with off roading so nothing too technical because it really is just a stock jeep. However, we do want to have some fun so we want something more than just a dirt road. Easier steep sections, water crossings, mud, smaller rock sections are all good. We are in the springs so anywhere in the pikes peak area works good but we can travel if we need. Maybe a start to a new hobby here, super excited. Thanks!

Alternative route to Great Sand Dunes NP?

Looking for suggestions for a offroad/scenic/not fully pavement route to get to GSDNP. I usually enter through Medano pass but looks like it is still closed at this time.

So I'm looking for suggestion for alternative routes, coming from Denver Metro, that ideally include a trail or at least a scenic route.

Thanks!

Honda Trail?

Has anyone done some light off-roading with a little Honda Trail? I want to tour the OnX easy rated mining roads around Naturita with something I can fit in my van. Yes there are a ton of options from side by sides to atv’s to Jeeps. I want to start small and get my feet wet!
