Does The Warning perform "Show Them" on their own? If so, how?

I've been seeing all the pictures and videos of Dany performing "Show Them" with Band-maid at Summer Sonic, both here and on r/Band-maid, and it got me thinking. Does The Warning perform it at their shows?

They'd need a backing track for Miku's part, as they don't have a rhythm guitarist, but is Saiki on a backing track too, or is Dany singing everything on her own?

Same question for Band-maid, is Saiki singing everything or is Dany on a backing track, when they perform the song without The Warning?

The Catalyst #6: A New Threat, part two. June 20 2378

Lieutenant Commander Daniel Merou, personal log, Stardate 55467 (Audio Transcript)

We arrived at Starbase 39 Sierra early yesterday and were assigned a dry-dock attached to the underside the station. The habitable section of the station is a large disk about 400 meters thick at its thickest point, and about 4km across, with several towers in the centre on top. It has a long stalk in the middle on the underside that forms the engineering section and is more than 7km long.

We are actually docked upside down, as all the damage from the super-volcano, and the battle on the way back are on the underside of the ship. The hull breach is on deck 8, and we had some buckling on decks 7 and 8. So a work crew is working on that, we are also replacing the ventral shield generator. We never got it working properly after the volcano, and it burned out completely in the battle with that unknown ship.

Most of the crew is on shore leave, including Captain Riley. She, along with Dr Deleon and her wife, went to a spa on the station with explicit instructions to leave them all alone for the rest of the week. She’d had her Visor re-calibrated right after the debriefing with admiral T’Nae. Lt T’Varo has been transferred to a hospital on the station, they will be better equipped to help her. She should be back on her feet by the end of the week. Commander Narika is also on leave, she’s spending some time with her family. With Capt Riley and CMD Narika off the ship, I’m in command!

Only 10 crew members are still on the Catalyst most of whom are engineers. I stayed to oversee the refit with LTs Archer and Ix, they stayed to assist me. Counsellor M’Rasa is in sickbay, she can handle any minor injuries that might occur. The EMH is available for anything serious, as is the station. While LC Solkar took shore leave at a Vulcan retreat on the station, LC Kai stayed on the Catalyst, I’m not sure why.

End log

Lieutenant Commander Delen Kai sat in the crew lounge on the Catalyst. The crew lounge is on the opposite side of the ship from the mess hall, on the starboard side of deck 2. It has the same layout, windows on one side, bank of replicators on the other. Instead of tables the room has a bunch of couches and smaller lounge chairs with coffee tables between them.

He sat, brooding, staring out the window at the shattered planet the station orbits. He wondered if that planet was symbolic of the future of his career. LC Merou, along with LTs Ix And Archer, came into the lounge talking about a recent hockey game. The Federation Hockey League is a frequent topic of conversation on the Catalyst, most of the crew are fans of the game. Captain Riley is an avid hockey fan, on game days she has holo-screens set up in the crew lounge and mess hall to watch the games live, any off-duty crew members are free to join. Kai, despite being indifferent to sports, always joined the crew those days, it was a lot of fun. The thought of missing out on those parties further ruined his mood. After a stop at the replicators the trio joined the science officer.

“Mind if we join you Commander?” asked Archer, taking a sip of his coffee.

“Sure, i could use the company.” Kai replied.

“Are you ok, Kai?” asked Merou.

“Not really, no” said Kai as he passed his PADD to Merou, “I got this today.”

Merou read the PADD with widening eyes, “You contacted the Commander-in-Chief of Starfleet asking for access to classified data?!” he said with astonishment, “Didn’t Captain Riley, and Admiral T’Nae, order you to drop it?”

“Yes, I did, and yes they did.” said Kai with resignation.

“Woah! Sir, are you nuts?” said Archer, he also said something in an African language, it wasn’t translated. Ix also made some noises that weren’t translated.

“A little bit, yes.” replied Kai dejectedly.

“It says here, the CIC is leaving your fate up to Captain Riley. When she finds out, she’s not going to be happy! You better hope they don’t contact her while she’s on leave.” said Merou. “Listen, I can’t order you, but take my advice and drop it. You’re only gonna make things worse for your self.”

“You are right Commander. It’s just that, I came so close to finding out what happened with the ship that attacked us, but it’s all classified.” said Kai.

“What did you find out, sir?” asked Ix.

Kai explained: “They’re called the Elachi, that’s the federation name for them, no one knows what they call themselves. They were first encountered by President Archer when he was in command of the pre-federation Enterprise NX-01. They’ve been encountered every now and then over the last 200 years or so.”

“I read about them.” said Ix, “they show up and attack, usually board and take samples, then disappear. None of that is classified.”

“The classified part is what happened when it disappeared. It’s the energy readings, every time I tried to get some more information on them, I hit a wall.” the science officer explained. “I was able to find some information about some 23^(rd) century experiments connected to those readings, but i got no information about them. That’s what I’ve been requesting.”

“How did you find that out, sir?” asked Ix

“Leading questions, calling in lots of favours, and lots of time spend with my head buried in the data. My eighth host, Toren, was a homicide detective in Mak’ala on Trill.” said Kai, “And my second host, Gedrin, was a subspace energy researcher. Their experience came in handy tracking down that information.”

The four officers fell silent for a few minutes, mulling over what the Commander had said.

“Between rejection letters, I’ve been looking into your Gremlin” said Kai, bringing them all back from their temporary reverie.

“What have you found?” asked Merou.

“I analyzed the tricorder data your team took when they were fixing it, especially the diagnostic Mr Gamben was running on the waverider.” replied Kai, “the energy readings were very similar to the power signature of the Elachi ship.”

“Really?! Do you think they were connected?” said Archer with astonishment.

“It’s most likely a coincidence, but I’ve got the central computer on the station analyzing the data to confirm.” said Kai.

“Commander Merou, please report to deck 8!” came a voice over the com.

“Well, our break is over, sounds like they are ready to pull out the old shield generator.” said Merou indicating Archer and Ix, “Commander, let me know what you find out about the gremlin.”

“Will do commander, it’ll be a day or two before I hear from the station” replied Kai.

The three engineers headed out of the room after a brief stop at the replicators to return their cups. Kai watched them go, and went back to looking out the window at the shattered planet, wondering what Captain Riley is going to do when she finds out he went so far over her head.

End part 2

Lieutenant Commander Daniel Merou, personal log, Stardate 55467.5 (supplemental)

The Shield generator came out relatively easily. It was totally fused, damaged way beyond repair. We will need a new one. Unfortunately, there isn’t a Nova class shield generator available at S39, so we’ll need to wait a few days for the replacement to be shipped from Mars.

Captain Riley found out about Kai contacting the CiC, they called her at the spa. She called us both to the bridge, there was no one there, the bridge doesn’t need to be manned while in dry dock. To say she was unhappy is an understatement, I swear she was a darker shade of blue than normal as she glowered at Kai on the view screen. She decided not to court martial him for insubordination, she absolutely could have. Instead she placed him under my command until the Catalyst is ready to leave dry dock, and gave me explicit orders to make his life miserable. I have lots of plasma conduits that need scrubbing, and the outer hull could use a coat of paint too.

Is there any way to make The Wraith, from Stargate Atlantis?

Obviously it's a nomadic empire, but what civics should i choose?

Should it be hive mind? If not what ethics? In the show commanders and queens are individualistic, but warriors are not.

How much input do the members have over the lyrics?

I know Su, Yui, and Moa have both written the lyrics for songs, divine attack, white flame, and song 4, but how much input do they have over the subject matter of their songs?

I wonder what they call eachother when off stage and not doing anything official.

I was thinking about this while listening to one of the Babymetal guides. What do they call eachother when its just them?

I'll give an example of what i mean, the members of Band-maid call lead singer, Saiki, Sai-chan, and Drummer, Akane, A-chan. They do it occasionally in interviews. It's likely that Babymetal does this as well, it's a Japanese cultural thing, so i wonder what they call eachother.

Also Happy Birthday Moametal!

The Catalyst #5: A New Threat, part one. June 16 2378

Lieutenant Commander Daniel Merou, personal log, Stardate 55456 (Audio Transcript)

We are about 2 days out from Starbase 39 Sierra, or S39 for short, and repairs are going well. The ventral shields are still not above 50%, but everything else seems to be working at close to full capacity. There is some buckling of the hull on deck 8, we will need to be docked at the starbase for those repairs.

In other news, Lt T’Varo regained consciousness last night, Dr Deleon says she’ll eventually make a full recovery but she’ll be in sickbay for the rest of the week and on light duty for a few weeks after. As for me, my ribs still hurt, the Doc has me on light duty as well, so I’ve been working half shifts since we started back.

End Log

Captain Sh’aria Riley lay on the couch in her office, listening to music. Her office doubled as her quarters, both are on deck one, she’d had the area modified to combine them. In their original state, he office was like a prison cell, and her quarters were not much bigger. So she’d had the shipyard make some changes. They moved the bathroom from between the office and quarters to one side and combined the rooms. That way she had a big office and larger quarters.

She’d put her visor on the desk, it had been giver her migraines for days. She was silently kicking herself for not having it re-calibrated before the mission, as Dr Deleon doesn’t have the equipment to do so on the Catalyst. When the door Chimed, the weary Andorian moved to her desk without putting on her visor. “Enter” she said. The door swished open and LC Merou entered.

“What can I do for you Mr Merou?” said the captain pointing her antennae toward him. “Have a seat.”

“Hey Captain!” he replied, as he took a seat opposite the captain “How did you know it was me?”

“My antennae can be used to detect bio-electric fields, and everyone’s field is different. It’s not easy to do, and very few Andorians learn to do it. I thought it would come in handy, and had a lot of time to practice after I was wounded” explained the captain.

“I didn’t know Andorians could do that” replied the chief engineer.

“It’s a useful trait for a species of hunters that evolved on a frozen moon.” She said with slight exasperation, “so, what can I do for you?”

“Right, why I’m here,” he said awkwardly, “I have an update on the repairs.”

“Good,” the blue skinned captain began, “How are we...”

“Captain Riley to the Bridge!” came the raspy voice of Cmd Narika came over the com, interrupting them.

The captain put on her Visor and rushed out of her office, LC Merou following her out. As she walked down the corridor, he tied up her long black hair in a ponytail using a hair tie she had around her wrist. In less than a minute she was on the bridge.

The bridge of the Catalyst is a medium sized circular room with a large view screen on the forward wall. The aft 3^(rd) of the room is raised a meter or so and has 6 configurable consoles on the back wall, 3 arrayed on either side of a big screen with the master systems display (MSD). On either side of the bridge, ahead of the ramps to the aft section, are the science and tactical consoles, with tactical on the starboard side. At the front facing the view screen are the ops and helm consoles set slightly into the floor. In the middle, directly in front of the raised area, is the command area. The captain’s, and first officer’s, chairs are here with the command console between them, there are smaller chairs for specialists on either side.

“We have received a distress call from a cargo ship. They’re under attack from an unknown ship” said CMD Narika as Captain Riley entered the bridge.

“Do we have a location?” replied the Captain.

“Yes we do, it’s about 20 minuets away at warp 8” said LC Kai, from the science station on the port side of the bridge.

“Set a course and engage at maximum warp, Ensign” ordered the captain as she sat in her chair in the command area.

“Aye captain, warp 8.” said Ensign Casper, at the helm, set the course with a few taps on his console, and the Catalyst accelerated to maximum warp on it’s new course.

“Mr. Merou, are we ready for combat?” asked Capt. Riley

“Yes Captain, we should be” he said from his console at the back of the bridge next to the MSD, “Ventral shields are sill not fully repaired, but they are at full everywhere else. The volcano didn’t affect the weapon systems.”

“Good. Mx Rouda are there any other Starfleet ships in the area?” the captain asked the androgynous ops officer.

“Yes Captain, the USS Ark Royal is about 40 minutes out, they are responding as well.” replied JG Rouda

“That’s a relief we may need the help” said Narika.

-----

“2 minutes out, Captain!” said Rouda at the ops station.

“Red Alert!” called Captain Riley “All hands to battle stations! Put the attacking ship on screen Lieutenant.”

A green and black, wedge shaped ship, about the size of the Catalyst, appeared on the view screen. It was attacking a heavily damaged cargo ship, firing green wavelike energy blasts.

“Open a channel Mx. Rouda.” said the captain.

“Aye Captain, Channel open” said the young J’naii.

“I am Captain Sh’Aria Riley of the USS Catalyst! You are ordered to stand down or we will respond with force!” demanded Captain Riley.

The enemy ship stopped attacking the cargo ship. It turned toward the Catalyst and opened fire, targeting the warp nacelles. The energy waves were blocked by the shields.

“Shields down to 80%!” called LC Merou From the back of the bridge.

“Evasive maneuvers ensign, keep them away from our ventral side! Mr. Solkar Disable them!” ordered Captain Riley.

Ensign Casper piloted the Catalyst in loops trying to keep the enemy from targeting the underside of the ship. At the same time LC Solkar opened fire with phasers, targeting the engines and weapon systems. Due to the placement of the photon torpedo launchers, under the forward hull, he couldn’t use them as easily. Unfortunately for them the enemy ship, despite being roughly the same size as the Catalyst, was much more powerful, and far more maneuvrable. After some time the enemy out meneuvered the Catalyst and was able to score several hits on the ventral shields.

“Ventral shields have failed! Shields everywhere else down to 30%!” Called LC Merou From his station. “and we have a hull breach on deck 8!”

“Rouda! How long until the Ark Royal arrives?” asked Commander Narika as the Catalyst took another hit.

“Just a few Minutes Commander!” the ops officer replied.

“Send them the target info and tell them to come in firing!” ordered Captain Riley.

“Message sent, and confirmed Captain” replied Rouda.

The Catalyst, and enemy ship, continued combat maneuvers for several more minuets. Ensign Casper was able to rotate the ship, pointing the bow toward the enemy, without changing it’s heading, allowing LC Solkar to fire a full spread of torpedoes from the forward launchers while the ship flew sideways. The torpedoes finally managed to get through the enemy’s shields just as the Ark Royal arrived. The sleek Sovereign-class starship open up with quantum torpedoes immediately after dropping out of warp. Making short work of the wedge shaped attacker. Badly damaged they started to run at impulse, with the Arc Royal giving chase. Before the unknown enemy could take more torpedoes, it spun in place, on its long axis, and disappeared.

“What the hell?!” exclaimed LC Kai “It’s gone!”

“Do you have an explanation Mr. Kai?” asked Captain Riley.

“No Captain, I got some strange energy readings before it disappeared.” replied LC Kai, “I’ll do a more detailed analysis as soon as I can, but I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“Alright commander, tell me when you know more.” said Captain Riley “Mr. Merou, Damage report!”

“Ventral shields are gone, shields overall are failing, and we have a hull breach on deck 8.” said LC Merou.

“Dr. Deleon reports no serious injuries.” said Solkar flatly.

“Well that’s some good news at least,” said the captain, “Mx Rouda, open a channel to the Arc Royal.”

“They are hailing us, Captain.” Rouda said.

“On screen lieutenant” said the captain.

A slim denobulan woman appeared on screen and said “I am Captain Phlox of the Ark Royal, you look like you took a lot of damage in the fight, are you ok?”

“Captain Riley, USS Catalyst, we should be ok, thanks for the assist Captain,” replied Captain Riley “do have any idea why the ship disappeared?”

“No, it looked like some kind of inter-dimensional drive, we’ve never seen anything like it.” replied Captain Phlox. “Your sensors are better than ours, so you got more detailed readings then us. We’ll send over our sensor data, we were closer and may have had a different perspective. You’ll be able to make more sense of it than we can.”

“Thank you Captain. We’ll run an analysis on our way back to Starbase 39 Sierra. I’ll let you know what we find out.” said Captain Riley, “we should see to that cargo ship.”

Both starships moved to the stricken cargo ship, the SS Starlace owned by Captain Adira Tyree. After a brief conversation between the three captains, Captain Phlox volunteered to stay with the Starlace to help Captain Tyree make repairs. The Catalyst resumed it’s return to Starbase 39, and LC Kai began an analysis of the sensor data of the enemy ship’s sudden disappearance.

Lieutenant Commander Daniel Merou, personal log, Stardate 55405 (Audio Transcript)

After 3 days at warp 6, we arrived at planet XCG-2549081-C, we’ve been calling it Calico’s world, at 10am yesterday. Dr. Calico, leader of the Denobulan science team, spent a few hours finding a suitable landing zone. The rotund scientist selected a site near the center of the volcano, I’m not sure I understand his criteria, but he knows what he’s doing.

While I questioned the wisdom of landing a starship inside a soon to be erupting supervolcano the size of Germany, there are a few reasons why we needed to. Primary among them is some bulky equipment that can’t be carried inside the shuttles, and can’t be exposed to vacuum. Another reason is, due to the mineral content in the rocks, there is an EM field permeating the area that scrambles transporters. We can’t beam anyone more than a kilometer, all away teams will need to stay within that radius of the Catalyst, the waverider, or the shuttles at all times. Finally, it’s just easier on the shuttles, they won’t have to make regular trips to orbit and back, moving personnel. The Catalyst, like all Nova-class starships, was designed to land so it can serve a mobile field base for planetary surveys.

Captain Riley wanted me on the bridge for landing, so I left Lt T’Varo in charge in engineering and headed up. When I reached my station at the back of the bridge, the captain called for condition blue. Lt Cmd (LC) Solkar ordered all crew to blue alert stations and to prepare for landing. I vented all plasma from the warp nacelles and set inertial dampeners for atmospheric entry. Down in engineering T’Varo, and her team, were shutting down the warp core and securing the antimatter storage pods for planetary landing. The impulse fusion reactors will provide more than enough power for our needs on the surface.

Solkar set the shields to flight configuration, I diverted power to atmospheric thrusters, and we started to descend. Ensign George Casper, the pilot, kept up on course for the landing zone despite an unusually strong jet stream. As he brought us in for landing, Lieutenant Junior Grade (JG) Rouda, ops officer for today and the first J’naii in Starfleet, deployed the landing struts and the Catalyst touched down in the caldera of a supervolcano. I secured the thruster exhaust and Solkar confirmed all decks were condition blue and cleared the crew to return to normal duties. Throughout all this Capt Riley said nothing, other than ordering the beginning of the landing sequence. She trusted her crew and their training. I was a little nervous, I had never landed a starship before, so I was very relieved when it was all over.

Because it’s docked on the underside of the saucer section, the Waverider can’t be launched when the Catalyst is on the ground. So it launched, along with both shuttles, just prior to entering the atmosphere, with Cmd Narika in command of all three. They followed us down, and landed about a hundred meters from the ship. After landing the pilots, and the commander, beamed back to the Catalyst.

The Captain called an all-hands briefing in the shuttle bay, the only compartment large enough for the entire crew. She wanted to make sure everyone was on the same page for a mission like this. She, and Dr. Calico, explained that due to the impending eruption, the atmosphere around the ship has high concentrations of sulfur dioxide. High enough to be toxic to everyone, so anyone leaving the ship will need breathers or EV suits.

The Captain also went over how the crew would be assigned during the course of the mission. Obviously, being chief science officer, LC Kai and his people will be working with Dr Calico’s team. Most of the security team will also be working with them, being on the surface of an uninhabited planet means security is less of an issue. Engineers will be assigned to the science teams as needed. Cmd Narika will be coordinating the Waverider and the shuttles, they will be on long range scouting missions and ferrying away teams to other parts of the volcano. Solkar and I will be doing our normal duties most of the time, we will also be available to Dr Calico should he need us. Finally, the USS Anaheim, a California class science division support ship, will be joining us in a few days, they will be observing the eruption from orbit.

The crew spent the rest of the day prepping the equipment and deploying the first probes in the area around the ship. Lt T’Varo and I spent a few hours inspecting the deployed landing struts, the warp core, and the antimatter storage pods. Just to make sure they came through the landing in good order.

I spent a good portion of today working with Lt Ix. One of the shuttles had a problem with its plasma distribution system that prevented it from taking off. Since Ix is our plasma distribution specialist, he needed to go out onto the surface to fix it, and I assisted. Ix is a Xindi Insectoid, as such, he doesn’t breathe the same way humanoids do. He has a row of breathing holes down each side of his body, so standard breathers won’t work for him. Because he’s half a meter shorter than I am, and has a very big head due to his compound eyes, he has a specially designed EV suit.

While I helped him get into his suit, we talked about the war. Ix spent most of the war at starbase 324, getting ships back into fighting shape. He wasn’t supposed to be on the front lines, like I was, but he was there when the Dominion hit the station, 5 months into the war. I read about the battle of starbase 324. Nearly 2 weeks of brutal close quarters fighting, moving corridor to corridor, trying to repel the Jem’Hadar borders. Starfleet won the battle, but it wasn’t easy. Ix was wounded on the 6^(th) day of the battle, though not seriously at least for him, his exoskeleton protects him for most energy weapons. Forcefields had failed a few days before, so they set up barricades in the corridors to defend the make-shift infirmary they’d had to set up after the main one was destroyed. Ix was manning one of them, when the Jem’Hadar attacked. He got shot a few minutes into the attack, but despite this he managed to keep them from getting past his barricade.

Once Ix was ready, I put on a breather and we headed outside. The shuttle was only 100 meters from the Catalyst, so it didn’t take very long to get there. It didn’t take long for us to figure out what was wrong with the shuttle. The EM field that interferes with the transporters is also reacting badly with the shuttle’s plasma system. According to the shuttle logs, the problem wasn’t there half an hour ago, it came on suddenly. I sent the info to T’Varo for analysis, recalled the other shuttle and the waverider, and informed the captain. It took us an hour to work out a fix that can be implemented quickly. The mission can continue, but it is something we will have to keep an eye on.

The waverider returned first, after I explained what happened, and Cmd Narika asked for an engineer to be placed on her ship and both shuttles. When the second shuttle arrived it’s engines failed on landing and it fell the last few meters. Ix and I, still outside, rushed over to help. No one was hurt and the shuttle wasn’t damaged, but it had the same problem the first shuttle did. We were able to get more detailed sensor readings of the problem. Hopefully we will be able to come up with a permanent fix, or at least a way to predict it. It’s going to be a long few weeks.

End log.
