Body/door side moldings

What does everyone think about the OEM optional side moldings for minimizing door dings/ damage? They come from Toyota factory painted to match body color and mount just above the crease line in doors. I bought them but have not installed them yet. Are they too much? Not effective, etc?

Using ODBC FOR DIRECT QUERY WITH POWER BI

Hi users, I have been using my ODBC connection to connect desktop to my company’s financial database. Some of the files are 7+ million rows of data, which is very slow load into PBI. I’m a basic skill level user, but is there a way to use that ODBC connection to access the data without having to download it? The initial takes about two hours and refreshes aren’t fast either. I would appreciate any ideas you have to avoid me having to download all data. I then want to set up the modems in BI Service to refresh a time or two daily. Thanks for any assistance!

Health as we age in retirement

Sharing a short heads up regarding health as we get older. 64, healthy runner, biker and skier. Have checkups every year, use cpap nightly for 30+ years. Blood pressure normal, low/normal heart rate, etc. Only drug I’m on is one to reduce cholesterol. All tests and checkups good. Until now. I was getting short winded walking up slight hills and it was recommended by family members in healthcare that I get a stress test.
Reluctantly I did, and it was stopped prematurely. Next, a cardiologist appeared and said the result was abnormal and to see a cardiologist asap or go to the ER if I have any issues. I did go, and they scheduled a heart cath. No big deal I thought; worst case maybe a stent or something at worst. Well, that got me a ride in ambulance to the main hospital where they do the bypasses. So, here I am, runner, biker, skiing a week in late Feb in Colorado, and I’m now waiting for Tuesday, with a 95% blockage in main, for a quadruple bypass. Never smoked, or did drugs are drank alcohol. Bad diet was much improved over past 25 years too. All I hope anyone takes from this is, don’t rely on resting ekg tests in office or other resting tests. Get a treadmill stress test to bring out the issues if you have any. Luckily, they caught mind before I had a stroke or hear attack, but just barely they said. And, as they say, see your doctor before you start or increase any exercise plan you have.

I am sort of a novice with only two years of Power BI experience, but I build sales data dashboards in my role. Currently, I still connect to our system through excel and import sales data from those files. Files are large to me, anywhere from 7-20 million rows. Since excel can only handle a million rows, I filter to each year(just under a million rows and import them that way. This method takes forever as I transform to the date range in excel, then it searches for lines in my days range and pulls them into excel. In Power BI, I append those all to one file. That’s ok for maybe one pull a month, but not feasible for doing MTD or YTD reporting refreshes. My question is, what is my best way to get that data from our system to Power BI? Is there a way to go from a system directly to POWER BI, and if so, which approach would be the easiest to get configured. My IT people may not be that forthcoming with assistance unless I can narrow down the process for them. Thanks for any/all input.
