Looking for a few somatic facilitation practice participants

Hi everyone. I’m looking for 2–3 people who would be interested in a free 30 minute somatic facilitation session over Zoom sometime between now and Sunday.

I’ve completed training as a somatic educator and am currently in a year long facilitation training. Peter Levine’s work was what first brought me into somatics years ago. I’m familiar with SE, but I’m not an SE practitioner, so these would not be Somatic Experiencing sessions or therapy.

You can bring something you’re curious about, stuck around, or would simply like to explore, and we’ll follow what emerges through your experience. You don't need any previous experience with this kind of work.

I’m specifically hoping to practice with people I don’t already know before I facilitate in my training on Monday.

There’s no charge and no expectation of anything afterward. You’re always free to decline anything I suggest, pause, change direction, or stop. Since this is practice rather than therapy, I’m not looking to work with acute crisis or intensive trauma processing.

If you'd be curious to try it, send me a message or comment here. I’m in Pacific time and have some flexibility over the next few days.

I made a linked in and applied for a job!!

I have been terrified of linked in because I think I have nothing to offer. But I just created a page and applied for a dummy job and feel so proud of myself!! Thanks for listening!!

Proud that we are out in the world

I have 3 children, 2 are neurodivergent. Doing anything at all is always a battle. It’s summer and I didn’t want to sit in the house. I knew my 2 ND children would love tide pooling if we could just get there. We all persevered and have made it! I’m so happy to have pushed through.

[Tutor] Online | Helping Bright, Overwhelmed Students Build Confidence and Get Unstuck

I’m accepting a few new students for August.

Some students don’t need someone to simply explain the material—they need someone who can help them figure out how to approach it.

I specialize in working with students who are capable but overwhelmed, including those with ADHD, autism, executive-function challenges, anxiety around school, or who have fallen behind and don’t know where to begin.

I offer individualized support in:
*Math (elementary through Algebra)
*Science
*English/language arts
*Social studies
*Study skills
*Executive-function coaching
*Homework support and organization

My focus is on helping students:
*Understand concepts rather than memorize procedures
*Break large assignments into manageable steps
*Develop effective study and planning habits
*Build confidence and independence

Sessions are held online and tailored to each student’s goals and learning style.

If you’re looking for a tutor who combines academic support with practical learning strategies, feel free to send me a message. I’d be happy to discuss whether we’d be a good fit.

I got a job!

I consciously made the choice to stay home with my children and have not been in the workforce for almost 2 decades. Before becoming a mother, I was a public speaker and was good at it and enjoyed it. Over the years, through a lot of hardships, I slowly lost my voice completely, and with it, much of myself too.

A few years ago, I started taking classes to reconnect with myself. This month, I have accepted a role with my school! To get there, I had to do something that terrified me: record multiple videos talking about myself and why I belonged there.

The role itself may be small, but what it represents to me feels enormous.
