We have a 2020 Kia Niro Hybrid. It’s a great car and we’ve been so happy with it.

A few months ago, out of nowhere, our car just stopped charging properly. We’re in a flat and have podpoint for people in the building with EV/Hybrid vehicles. My neighbour has an EV and she’s not experienced any issues with the charger.

Initially it was only charging to 2 miles then the podpoint went red and failed.

I googled it and it looked like scheduling on the Kia info-system was a common issue. Weird seeing as it was charging one day and then wasn’t the next.

We only have podpoints near us which was working for everyone else and so we took it to a mechanic. Mechanic managed to charge it fully first time and said he’d reset the settings back to what I had them to initially.

Any advice? The car will now charge to 20 miles out of 33 and the charger just turns red, fails and stops charging. Help! This is my first hybrid.

TLDR; car won’t charge past 20 miles out of 33 and just turns red and stops charging despite me changing scheduling system on infosystem.
