I don’t often have positive things to say about the soap I’ve watched since Day 1, Bold & Beautiful, and have never missed an episode since, even though I truly am grateful I get to control what scenes I can fast forward, thereby reducing my frustration time with the repetitive script. One episode ‘my way’ can actually be three minutes long.

But Delon de Metz, the talented actor playing Zende, has been LONG overlooked. NOW IS HIS TIME! He is bringing layers of emotion to every scene—and yes, thanks to the writers for providing those layers—but he does not disappoint. He has mastered the art of emoting anger tinged with sadness and made it so compelling, I can only HOPE the writers and bosses see it too, and continue to bring his talent to our screens.

Bravo Delon!

I do watch every episode—even if I do tend to fast-forward many scenes and storylines—but I don’t recall Nate (or his entourage) being bitter about losing his ability to perform surgery. We all remember that huge fight in the lobby of the Phoenix Hotel when Devon and Nate got into it and Devon caused Nate’s hand to be permanently injured, thereby preventing him from continuing his career as a doctor.

Are we supposed to forget that? Meanwhile he is hanging with Devon and Lily and everybody is high-fiving about Nate’s imminent surgery (which of course will save his operating hand). 🧐

While it is easy to look up Ashley Jones’ DOB, and any of us forever-soap-watchers already know her from almost every other soap, it seems the coy Sean Freeman (André) is not a fan of revealing his DOB.

That is always a celebrity’s choice, of course, so no shade on that from me. Just makes it harder (and maybe eliminates the need to figure it out) to identify the age gap between these two actors—given that their characters are heating up in upcoming storylines and we know Ashley scored a 2-year contract. (She has friends in high places but she is knocking this out of the park, I say this as someone who did not particularly enjoy her performance on B&B, but her work on BTG is swaying my opinion 1000%.

Open minds will free the world.

Come on, this was clever! I had to smile, they NEVER refer to Sheila by her last name, this was perfect. Scared the crap our of Steffy and Carter. 🤪

Not sure who among you are aware of possibly the hottest new band (duo) out there at the moment, called Angine de Poitrine (look them up). They pretend they are aliens and they play guitar in ways even the best of the best musicians are stunned to witness.

Thinking Steffy’s stylist must have gotten her inspo from them.

So relatable lol! The shimmering bits, the slit skirt, the massive belt….perfect for my morning coffee. 🙄

I did not see that final scene coming at all. For a show that can feel pretty predictable, that final tease on Friday felt completely fresh.

What does everyone think about the chemistry between these two? Do you think the writers are actually going to run with this pairing, or is it just a temporary distraction from their current marriage drama?

I couldn’t decide if I loved the outfit or if something bothered me about it and now that I see how it is supposed to be worn, I much prefer it this way than the way they styled it on Daphne. You?

I love the way Randy was introduced to us, and how deliberate and intricate his character development has been. The actor playing him (Maurice P. Kerry) is FABULOUS and he keeps Randy believable, consistent yet mysterious in everything he says, doesn’t say, and he steals every scene he is in with his natural demeanour of bad boy/good boy. Just LOVING IT!!!!

I AM HERE FOR IT!!!!!! I’m not even sure I quite got this scene, though. 🤔 Does Mona have a gambling issue? Is she secretly a gambling queen? What is her relationship with Joey? I LOVE this character and the way the writers (and this beautiful QUEEN!) have let her first-glance innocence evolve into this……whatever it is!!!~BRILLIANT!

All the female cast members seem to have softer and more customized makeup looks lately, really makes each actress’ features stand out even more beautifully.

(Also shout-out to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) whose most recent hair color and style is absolutely PERFECT on her! They’ve tried the all-dark (too harsh), longer hair (hair too fine) but this really hits the mark IMO)

This poor actress must have tired facial muscles from holding this one expression for shows upon shows at this point. Time to move on, writers!

I saw a couple of interviews with Bill Bell recently where he claims to make every episode of B&B the best it can ever be. I honestly think that their amazing popularity in Europe (especially Italy) and the revenue that must bring in makes it all worthwhile, because quality in every episode is not a goal he and his writing team have reached.

Endless repetition: irritant number one.

But these random styling choices like they had for Steffy hanging around her breakfast at home in a cute little teddy, then next thing we know she wore that teddy, with a raincoat over it, keeping both on like that was normal for an office setting. Plus why would Liberty Bibberty join her in her office at the beginning of his own work day? (One nice thing was Steffy’s wig today, was cute and not so bulky heavy as she sometimes has.)

Overall, do better, Bill & Team! Please!

Many of us were on here when Tomas was first introduced as Kat’s suitor, and we weren’t having it. Sure, an argument can be made for ‘opposites attract’ in that Kat’s vivaciousness and sass balances his dial-tone-personality, but honestly, his character has not evolved one iota. His distance at the hospital during the tornado emergencies and his lack of heat in this proposal he is pitching around town: FAIL.

You think Kat should take him or dump him?

I think many of us, even with our open minds as we started with this brilliant soap and keep cheering it on ever since, could not accept the Ashley/Derek pairing. There was zero chemistry and it was even worse when they tried to make Ashley and Andre some kind of passion attraction. Nobody was buying it! Not sure why!

(Note to file: This actress has arguably the most beautiful hair (seems natural too) of many soap actresses.)

So after Derek died and she acted like the distraught widow, and now she wants to reawaken the iffy romance with Grayson, what are you all thinking? Do they need to figure out her storyline still or should we viewers get on this bus with Grayson?

They seem pretty good about keeping consistent props to support injury storylines to the different actors, unlike other soaps where now you see it, now you don’t. Like another fan posted here, this is a very long day, even by soap standards, so I guess it is at best a day or two following the tornado, so it would make sense to have Andre lose his crutches and Anita lose the (HUGE!) cane.

BTG is getting better every day, if that is even possible! It shows that it is a team effort, from the writers to the lighting to wardrobe and of course the powerhouse actors. The script and performance in this office scene between Dani and Bill was RIVETING!!!!! *chef’s kiss* perfection!!!!!

This (of course—ENDLESS) back and forth about whether Hope should leave Forrester to join Logan was cringe. Hope sounded and acted so pathetic, I was embarrassed for her. And the occasional sob noise (deep breath intake) with zero tears, nope.

Maybe there are some superfans or soap press that keep track of how many repeat scenarios each soap puts out in a given year, or maybe throughout their span, but I would be very surprised if ANY other soap has kidnapping events in such a frequent occurrence as Young and the Restless.

It is seriously annoying.
