How long until you tested negative after surgery?

I had my left tube and a small piece of uterus removed on 8/6. This morning I still tested positive for pregnancy. How long will this go on? I’m scared because before this pregnancy I had a miscarriage that was incomplete and I needed a D&C.

My doctor is phenomenal and luckily I see her later this week, but my mind and my body and my soul just wants to be done with this nightmare.

For those of you that had surgery…the gas pains…

I just had a Cornual ectopic pregnancy and the surgery was on Thursday. So I had laparoscopic surgery and a c-section like cut.

The gas pain is absolutely unbearable, like I can’t even take deep breaths it hurts so bad. When does it go away??

I was able to sleep last night with some pillows and a heating pad on my back with my legs propped up, but as soon as I wasn’t in that position the gas came back full force.

I’ve been the the bathroom a small amount but that didn’t help either.

I just can’t even rest or relax because the gas pain is just so much worse than the actual incisions.

My progesterone is incredibly low

So on May 1st I had a d&c for a miscarriage. The miscarriage originally started in March but retained tissue. My cycles have been off, I’ve been ovulating late and bleeding about 6-8 days after ovulation.

I ovulated July 1st. Started cramping and bleeding July 7th. The cramps were the same as period cramps. The bleeding got heavier (I used tampons and a pad) and thought it was my period. It started to slow down and I started using ovulation strips. All negative. On July 13th (this Monday) blazing positive which I thought was weird because it was so early in my cycle. Tuesday morning even more positive. So I took 3 pregnancy tests. All positive. Called my OB and they did lab work (had to ask for progesterone)

My hcg was 84 and progesterone was 0.56 ng/ml which I know is incredibly low. OB put me on progesterone cause it can’t hurt, yesterday. Weirdly in my cycle I almost know when my progesterone rises because I get a massive headache. So before I took the medication (has to be taken at night) I got a massive headache (could also be stress related can’t count that out) and darker tests. Took the medication last night.

My primary wanted to do bloodwork too (forgot to order progesterone) and hcg was 114. So within 24 hours hcg is rising. Today it’s 125.

I am concerned about ectopic based on this series of events and am monitoring any symptoms but still cautious with the very very very low progesterone. Hoping it increases but I’m very cautious.

Did you have to advocate for yourself? I’m worried I’ll have to and I suck at that, but I do know it’s super serious.
