This photo was taken during a trip to Bavaria, possibly near the Walchensee, by my grandmother in 1972, it shows a "Landhaus" which is a hotel in a rural area. As the photo shows, "Landhaus" is visible on the middle right of the building, but as fate would have it, the name was not photographed. It is possible that this location has been renovated or even torn down in the 54 years since. Can anyone assist in identifying this hotel?

This picture was taken around 1972 in, what we have long believed, is Algiers, in Algeria. The sea, buildings, a meadow and what could be olive trees are all visible. We have no other information about this photo since no details were written on the back! However, there is a long shot that this could be Montpellier in France. My uncle had lived in both cities at the time. A tale of two cities separated by the mediterranean sea. Where is this?

These two photos were taken in sequence during a trip my late grandmother made to Austria in 1972. The very best intelligence we have, based on previous pictures from the same roll of film, is that this is near Eng Alm in Tirol, in any case, it would be in the Karwendel mountains. Notice that the photos show a location at altitude and likely on a hiking trail, cows and a scarecrow are also visible. The geographic distance between both photos would be small. It may help if the text on the scarecrow could be enhanced? Can anyone pinpoint this location?

Photos in the same sequence of pictures indicated an area near Eng Alm in Tirol. The area is popular for trekking. Visible in the background of both photos are mountains, whose outline is defined. Can anyone determine where exactly this is?

This is a photo of my late grandmother during an outing in either 1972 or 1973. Decades ago, she mentioned that this may be the "Planten un Blomen" annual summer flower festival in Hamburg, Germany. It could also be elsewhere. Unfortunately, there are no visible buildings on the skyline of this photo to ascertain with certainty. Bear in mind that in the half century since this photo was taken layouts and buildings may have been renovated or torn down. So where is this; can anyone determine?

This is a photo from a trip my late grandmother took to Grasellenbach (Hessen) Germany in September 1971. They are shown on what is a hiking trail within arable land. What is known is that this photo was taken on the outskirts of Grasellenbach; but where exactly? The path today may be a cycling path or still used for hiking. Many thanks.

This photo is from a trip my grandmother made in August 1979. Based on other photos from the group, this is likely to be Lubeck, and likely near the Holstentor or town hall in Lubeck. The structures show a gift shop and possibly a cafe.

It COULD be Hamburg, in which case it may be more difficult to determine the location, but I am betting on Lubeck.

This is a photo of a trip my late mum made to Hamburg in 1979. They went on a cruise along the Elbe River, the sole clue is a structure behind them, possibly locks. Can you identify the precise location along the Elbe that this photo was taken?

This is a photo taken by my late uncle during a trip to Bavaria in about 1982, on the back of the photo is (luckily) written Gößweinstein, also spelled as Goessweinstein. The photo shows an outdoor cafe likely on a main road in the town, but where? Notice the steps, the handrails and the wooden door. This is probably a long shot, because much may have changed in 44 years.

These two photos were taken by my late grandmother possibly, we believe, in Freudenberg am Main in Baden-Württemberg, Germany in September 1971. She wrote the date on the back of the photos but not the location!! The barge's name is Tina, and we see some houses on the shoreline, Freudenberg is showing on a sign on the barge. Can someone confirm where these photos are actually taken?

This photo was taken in Normandy in the early 1970s. We believe the town to be Houlgate, although it could be Deauville or Cabourg; where we also holidayed at the time. It shows him in the centre town area with certain aspects of the town clearly visible behind him. Could anyone identify the town?

These photos were taken by my grandmother during a trip to Bavaria in 1972. The best information we have, based on other photos with similar scenes, is that this is Brauneck mountain south of Lenggries, and that it is on a nature hiking trail. If it is elsewhere, it must be in southern Bavaria or northern Tyrol, in Austria. Mountain contours may make this identifiable. Thank you for your help!
