Should I report or am I being dramatic

Ok so I had a last minute booking from a girl who originally wanted two drop ins per day for her dog over the 4th of July weekend. She said her last sitter cancelled last minute and was scrambling to find someone. Once I responded, I realized she was going to be out of town and asked if she would prefer me to house sit or at least add on another drop in for the afternoon. She added on an afternoon drop in. There are three cats in the house, but she told me her roommate is taking care of them while she’s away, so my only job is the dog.

Anyway, Friday went fine, the roommate was home with the pup and I did my drops ins and all went well. However, their house is dirty. Not in a clutter or disorganized way, in a *filth* way. I set a plastic bag down on the counter in the kitchen and it literally stuck to the counter type of dirty.

The owner had told me that her roommate was likely going out of town today (Saturday), and I was worried about the fireworks for the dog, so I told the owner I would do a fourth drop in later in the evening just to check on him and make sure he was ok. Not charging for it or anything, literally just want this dog to be ok and have someone there with him instead of being totally alone on the scariest night of the year for dogs. I go back to the house around 9pm, and I notice that one of the cats peed outside their litter box. I look at the litter box and it’s not terribly dirty, but it’s definitely not clean and the pellet litter is pretty scarce/low. I know that cats will pee outside the box if it’s too dirty or doesn’t have enough litter. I don’t think the roommate cleaned the litter box out before leaving.

So anyway, there I am with cat pee on the floor, trying to comfort this old dog whose so scared he’s shaking, and just knowing that I can’t stay all night because I have to get back to my own dogs and wasn’t booked for a house sit.

Idk. My friend is telling me it’s worth a report because between the state of the house, the litter box, and leaving the poor old guy alone during fireworks it adds up to some form of neglect.

What do you guys think I should do here?

Greens, please explain

Ok guys. I’m only on season two, but even now I cannot grasp why/how so many people are team green rather than team black. Can any greens chime in and explain their reasoning? I’m not trying to pick a fight or argue, truly I want to understand what leads people to be team green bc while I don’t see it, clearly plenty of people feel that way!

Bar Prep Finance Hacks/Tips for first gen/low income LBWT?

Hey LBWT fam.

I am a LBWT baby, just graduated law school and am currently living through the fever dream that is bar prep. I am a first gen lawyer, both my parents are on the lower side of the income range. My mom raised me by herself and my dad was in prison for most of my childhood so even though they both are doing ok with finances now, they both have a lot of catching up to do. One of the big reasons I pulled the trigger on law school in the first place was because I realized that my mom (who is already almost 70 years old, she had me at 39) wasn’t going to be able to retire fully without help. ANYWAYS-

I am not gonna lie, I messed up when budgeting my finances for bar prep/during the summer months. I have a job lined up (YAY) but we get paid monthly at the firm, and if I want to take a few weeks off after the bar in August, I’ve realized I won’t actually get a full paycheck until October 1st. To explain- I take the bar July 28-29th. Then I was hoping to take a few weeks off to just be a vegetable (don’t worry, I’m not on here complaining about having no money and then going to Europe for my bar trip- I am literally planning to stay at home and/or go camping on public land and just not have a screen in my face for a few weeks to recover). My return to work date post bar is August 24th. But being on the monthly schedule means that I’ll get paid for August 24-28th on September 1, and then I won’t get paid again until October 1. I budgeted until August, but I messed up and didn’t factor in the paycheck dates and now I’m realizing that I’m going to be completely out of money for two months. I went to the bank, and ofc because my debt to income ratio is atrocious (175k in student loans compared to a big fat zero on my income since I’m not working while I study) there’s not much they can offer me. I really just need $2-3k to squeeze by until October, and I’d like to find a way to do it more responsibly than maxing my credit cards.

I know that it’s my error and my fault, but I’m still scrambling to try and make ends meet until I can start collecting full time paychecks. Do you guys have ANY advice, resources, ideas, tips, ANYTHING that you think might help a sister out? Im located in Oregon.

Again, I do understand that the budgeting error was my fault, but I’m also feeling so freaking disheartened by the hoops you’ve gotta jump through to get into this field. Between not working during bar prep, the $1000 for the bar application, bar prep programs, $150 laptop fee, food, gas at $5-6 per gallon, rent, car payment, car insurance, bills, student loan debt, etc. I feel like I’m drowning constantly.

Anyways. Thanks guys. Any advice is very much appreciated.
