Progress

I was looking back at photos just now and yall. My nails have come SO FAR in the past ten months, it’s crazy. I’m genuinely so proud of myself. I think if my old self could see what my hands are like now, she wouldn’t believe they were really mine.

The first photo was in October, the second photo was taken right now. I don’t even have the words. Nail polish helped more than I can describe.

Another manicure dump!

Sorry yall, this post is a doozy— haven’t posted any manicures in a while so I’m dumping all of them on you today.

Dog tax at the very end because I didn’t realize how many times I’ve taken photos of my nails with Fernando in the background! Here goes nothing, I’m doing this all from memory:

Photo 1: Clionadh cosmetics’ “sangre de drago” poorly magnetized at 3am because I finished my grad dress 20 minutes earlier and was dead set on red nails for my ceremony.

Photo 2 and 3: Mooncat’s “koi whiskers” in warm (photo 2) and semi-cool (photo 3) states, topped with clionadh “Lightfast.”

Photo 4: 2 layers of cirque colours “moonbeam” topped with “charcoal jelly” and “downpour jelly,” and then because I still didn’t like it— a coat of sally hansen’s “unicorn top coat” overtop. These ones, I did in the dark on my sisters birthday because our power was randomly out for six hours.

Photo 5: lynbdesigns “fair isle” but with a slug because it was huge and I was taking a photo for my mother. It kissed me! I was thrilled.

Photo 6: cirque colours “Hygge,” my favourite polish of all time.

Photo 7: mooncat’s “memento mori.”

Photo 8: clionadh “joyous” under their “happy as a clam” topper.

Photo 9: I want to say this is clionadh “lightfast” on its own but it looks weird here? But pretty sure.

Photo 10: lynbdesigns “cats paw.”

Photo 11: clionadh “solar friction” magnetized… I don’t remember how.

Photo 12 and 13: lynbdesigns “I did a punch!”

Photo 14: lynbdesigns “fair isle” (can we see a pattern emerging here?)

Photo 15: cirque colours “raincheck.” I was influenced, okay? Basically hygge but moodier. It has a layer of a reflective glitter polish on top, these were my night 3 circus nails.

Photo 16: my circus nails for show nights 1 and 2. My family runs a circus, okay? From pinky to pointer: cirque “hemlock,” clionadh “forge lite,” “tessera,” and “statue garden.” Feat. Cheap nail stickers.

(Almost done here, folks. If you got this far I thank you for it)

Photo 17: lynbdesigns “butterfly pea flower lemonade” in the sun and I think slightly warm, too.

Photo 18: ILNP “power surge” magnetized velvet style.

Photo 19? Fernando. My sweet boy.

And that wraps up the last two (?) months or so. Photos are in no way in chronological order. It’s been a treat! Happy summer!

Advice request?

I took a look at the rules, and they didn’t explicitly outlaw questions like this, but if this isn’t appropriate for this subreddit, I’m so sorry, and I’ll take it down immediately if anyone objects.

I do not raise or eat rabbits. I have no moral opinions about it whatsoever.

However, my cat doesn’t agree. Please don’t tell me to keep him inside, or all of the stuff about having outdoor cats— believe me, I know. We live on a farm, he’s a ratter, he’s essential as we have other small animals and cannot use rat poison— and we do employ traps, but they’re too smart to get caught in them the majority of the time. I do not want advice on my cat’s living situation, please and thank you.

However, along with rats, he gets bunnies sometimes, maybe 5 or 6 a year. Mostly concentrated around this time of year, when the babies are out. He doesn’t always kill them right away, and the sounds they make are terrible, I feel awful.

I’m wondering, if I’m able to get them away from him but they’re injured, it’s probably kindest to kill them myself, yes? I want to be prepared in case it happens again, because I didn’t know what to do last time.

I read that cervical dislocation is the easiest and most painful way to do it, is that the general consensus on here? I looked up videos on how to do the “broomstick method.”

Im really sorry if it’s not appropriate for this subreddit, I just figured you all would have the best advice for me given how you probably do this often? I just want to make sure I deal with them as quickly as possible with as little suffering :(

Again, I will remove the post immediately if anyone objects, please just let me know. Thank you all so much, even if I don’t get the answers I’m looking for.

I’m sorry I doubted you

I begrudgingly ordered lynb’s Fair Isle in my last order, even though I thought I would hate it on myself… turns out, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Whoops.

These are the few I actually got photos of, I change them every couple of days haha. I just think they’re neat :)
