recently joined a subreddit that is kinda small (25k total followers) for a niche hobby. I am passionate about it and want to post and comment to give my thoughts and opinions. but I don’t want to be that guy. does Reddit have an agreed standard on the right amount to post??

I have a friend that is getting married in Mexico City and I do not want to go to his wedding. It is crazy expensive and I would need to take 2 days off of work to travel in with all the flights and lay overs. it is also during the summer and going to be crazy hot there. I will not know anyone except the groom and will only see him for a few moments throughout the weekend. I want to be there for them but the levels of inconvenience seem really high and it’s asking a lot
