Post Birthright ruling Trump should grant special status to anyone who can get to the US from Russia (or other hostile countries) for the purposes of child bearing

To be 100% clear, I absolutely in no way support the Russian government or its actions.. but that's kind of the point

If the left would like to assert people crossing a border carries no issue, let them prove it. Let them argue every child born to a Russian couple who then leaves back to Russia will be as American as apple pie

Let them argue those kids in 18 years will make America great through their immigration status, and anyone who claims they would possibly vote for foreign interest was a xenophobe and a f**cist

Genuinely I think even the mere threat of this would get the left to reverse course

*To be clear, I am talking about granting special status to enter/remain in the country to these foreign citizens akin to Biden era policies*

Anyone else find it odd the pictures 23andme uses for some ethnicities?

For example, Lithuanian gets a gorgeous picture of a castle (I believe Trakai Castle) on the waterfront, Bosnian Croat, Montenegro, Serbian gets a gorgeous shot of Mostar with the mountains in the background, meanwhile Belarusian Polish & Ukrainian gets... trees.

There's just such a huge disparity so many get gorgeous architecture or art, and then some its just random scenery of a random forest. No sprawling golden-domed Lavra? Like, we went with trees?

It just cracks me up I don't find it offensive I find it more funny. Did they forget to pick one an hour before the update went live and were just "oh come on something, anything in one of those countries, uh trees they have forests thats good"

Food suggestions for a picky baby Hermanns

I've had a new baby Hermanns for a few days and so far I've had some trouble getting him to eat a variety. The only things he'll consistently eat is Escarole and some flowers from a flower tortoise mix but I know that's less than ideal. He'll bit at some fruit in a fruit mix but I also think that's not the best routine option

He bit at wheatgrass but he seemed frankly to have some trouble biting through it so idk if that's a good option

New Owner, calcium questions

So for a baby Hermann's, would dusting their food lightly 3x a week be sufficient? if they have UV lighting then you don't need the added D3 right (I got with and without just in case) are there any tips for how to "powder" the food?

In addition for food right now I have out Escarole lettuce with a mix of rehydrated fruits/veggies/and flowers is that good?

Experienced with reptiles, new to tortoises, is this stuck shed? Does it need misting?

Just got this little guy, has a brownish "flake" on his face, I know tortoises don't shed like snakes so I'm wondering if that's just normal stuck shed or means he needs more humidity or

If society wants to stop the manosphere they need to be honest with young men

So this is kind of a stream of consciousness based on my own experiences.

I went to a very liberal HS. I was an athlete, played lacrosse that type of guy. Imagine stereotypical HS lax bro that's probably getting decently close. I was pretty openly conservative and very often was the guy who would raise they hand to say the thing that would spark an argument with the teacher and the three most political girls in class, you know that guy I'm talking about.

I went to a very liberal college where Greek life was very small and the administration was pretty overly hostile to us. I was in a frat, I was never a super d***hey frat bro but yeah you know I was at parties drinking beer that whole deal.

Based on most of the rhetoric around toxic masculinity and progressive gender relations, I should have had a terrible time in both of these. I did not. It was very apparent in HS that my friends and I, who made all the jokes you weren't supposed to, who had all the opinions you weren't supposed to, still got a lot more attention from girls (sometimes even the same ones who would argue with me in class) than the very shy progressive guy who would post on insta all about a woman's right to choose. In college, it was still our parties girls would come to, no matter how many seminars the school had for freshman on "toxic masculinity in fraternity culture"

The reality is, it is still traditionally masculine traits that our society and girls tend to (not always) but tend to reward. And there is nothing wrong with that at all.

But what it is, is in direct conflict with the messaging young guys receive,"its ok to be weak" "girls prefer guys who are willing to take a back seat" young men learn very quickly that that rhetoric is just at odds with the reality they experience. On both sides. The guys who succeed and the ones who don't.

I think the reason why young men gravitate towards "the manosphere" is because they are at least not, on their face, obviously lying to young men. Now I have no praise to give Andrew Tate his morals are just entirely conflicting with what is good. There 100% are very very wrong ways to go about this and a lot of young men do 100% go about it in a terrible manner.

But if you don't want them to do this, you have to be honest with them. You have to teach them how to be a man and embody these traits in a healthy manner. But if you lie to them they will be able to tell.

So if you want to win young men back from "the manosphere" you need to be honest with them. "Yes, overall women and society, overall, in most cases, will reward competitiveness, dominance and other traditionally masculine traits, but there is a right and a wrong way to go about it"
