Please, please, PLEASE watch the video. Luckily it isn’t one that just bashes the films. I still STRONGLY Disagree with it though.

THIS IS A COPY OF ONE MY COMMENTS BELOW I WAS IMPRESSED WITH IT SO I COPIED IT HERE, just a disclaimer so when y’all see it you know.

JC has stated the Na’vi are meant to represent the best in humanity, and the humans the mass capitalist accelerationism, evil, and greed of humanity the worst in it. Regardless of what physical makeup he uses the story he wants to tell is still conveyed VERY well (in my opinion)

And the view that “humanity is bad and, all this is saying is that the natives were better people blah blah blah” is very flawed for one simple reason Jake, THE MAIN CHARACTER (or one of them) IS HUMAN, same with the other good humans in the film, like Norm, max, grace, etc.

Another problem is that these people forget the world building, what do I mean when I say that?, take Eywa as an example, many people forget that in this universe and on this planet the deity that the Na’vi worship IS real and is the reason their evolution has seem to have ceased, I.e why they are still tribal* this doesn’t mean that they haven’t intellectually evolved and are as dumb as our early generations were (such as the Natives used as the example in the video) which is another misunderstanding.

Another argument that was made is that in TWOW when Kiri has her first seizure that Renow (sorry if I spelt that wrong) is the reason she woke up and that all of the test that norm and max took meant nothing, and that it implies that voodoo medicine is better than actual medicine. Which is wrong by the way, it’s pretty clear Kiri woke up by coincidence as she was doing the ritual and she woke up DURING it and not after when Renow was done.

“Humans literally know Na’vi DNA better than the Na’vi know their own DNA they were able to adjust and adapt it to human DNA to make the avatars and would know how to explain and counter the cause of the seizures” not in THAT very instance when they got kicked out and weren’t able to finish their tests. And also they probably have never encountered Na’vi seizures and thus weren’t prepared for them.
