Where should I get BBQ? I’m arguably more stressed about this than the race. 😂
Went to my first IMSA race at Watkins Glen this year and had an absolute blast. I’ve already got tickets for the Rolex 24 in January, and now I’m wondering which other tracks on the IMSA calendar are worth checking out.
From a fan experience perspective (vibes, viewing spots, facilities, atmosphere, logistics, etc) which would you recommend? What makes your favorite stand out?

I'm Curious if anyone with COTA weekend experience can let me know if my plan sounds feasible.
I have shuttle passes for all three days, but I’m staying about 2 miles from the downtown shuttle stop. My plan is to grab an Uber to the shuttle very early each morning, which I imagine should be pretty doable.
My bigger question is getting around Austin the rest of the weekend without a car. Once the shuttle gets me back downtown after the race, is relying on Uber going to be a nightmare because of F1 weekend demand, or am I worrying about nothing?
I don’t imagine doing a ton of driving around, but I’d like to check out some F1 pop-ups, maybe a podcast event or two, grab some BBQ, etc.
I’ve heard the COTA shuttle itself is great, so I’m mostly wondering about Uber availability early in the morning and then later in the day/evening once everyone is back in Austin.
Has anyone done COTA weekend without a car and relied mostly on the shuttle + Uber? Any suggestions or alternatives I should know about?

Curious what everyone thinks about how the new F1 regs will impact the racing at COTA. I imagine Turn 12 and the main straight will still be prime passing spots, especially with the potential for some yo-yo racing, but do you think we’ll see overtaking in different parts of the track than we’re used to? Or will the long straights still dominate where most of the action happens?
Just curious, with the shuttle not running on Thursday, how are y’all planning to get to the track for Preview Thursday? How crazy do we think getting an Uber to/from COTA will be? 😂
Going to the USGP at COTA this year and I’ve seen people mention the Amex radios/headsets they’ve given out in previous years.
Is that still a thing for 2026? Do you need to be an Amex cardholder to get one, and if so, does any Amex card qualify?
Also, are they actually worth picking up for the race weekend? I’ll be there all three days and sitting in the Turn 12 grandstand, so being able to follow commentary/race info while watching would be pretty awesome.
First time at COTA, so any tips on when/where to grab one would also be appreciated!
Relatively new IMSA fan here. I went to Watkins Glen this year for my first race and had such a great experience that I’m already planning a trip to the Daytona 24.
Right now I’m thinking I’d get an Airbnb nearby, and then maybe on race day just sleep in my car for a few hours if needed so I can stay at the track as long as possible. Mostly I’m just looking for advice on how to make the Daytona trip the best experience possible.
A few things I’m wondering about:
Any general tips for a first Daytona 24?
At Watkins, I had an infield parking pass, so my car was close by all day. It made things super easy because I could keep coolers, food, drinks, extra layers, etc. in the car and just go back whenever I needed. Should I expect anything similar at Daytona, or is it a very different setup?
How’s the food situation at Daytona? At Watkins I mostly brought my own stuff, but I’m curious whether the track food at Daytona is actually decent or if I should plan on bringing most of my own food/drinks.
Any other advice for handling the size of the event, where to spend time during the race, what to bring, or things you wish you knew before your first Daytona 24?

I'll be attending my first-ever race at Watkins Glen in two weeks and was hoping to get some advice from those of you who have been before.
I have infield parking. What time would you recommend arriving? I'd love to have enough time to explore a bit, do the pit lane walk, and not feel rushed. Since I won't know my way around, I'm planning to give myself some extra time.
Would you recommend bringing a folding chair for the GA viewing areas? Do they allow those in? Is there plenty of food available at the track, or should I plan on bringing a cooler? Are outside food and drinks allowed?
Also, where would you recommend watching the start of the race?
For those with infield parking, are there any traffic bottlenecks I should be aware of when arriving or leaving? Anything you wish you had known before your first trip to The Glen?
Any tips, favorite traditions, or first-timer advice would be greatly appreciated.
