Okay... now that we’ve talked enough about car vs. shuttle, GA vs. grandstand, how to survive the heat, etc... I’ll ask the most important question.
Where should I get BBQ? I’m arguably more stressed about this than the race. 😂

Son became really invested in F1 and taking him to COTA for his 16th birthday. Missed the Costco GA and so I went completely the other the other way and got Turn 12 Section 4 on the 25th row. WAY MORE than planned but I felt he would love this and make a forever memory.
We plan to do all the things. Stay all day, make the concerts. We are staying in San Marcos until Sunday night and then we are doing Postcard Cabins.
My questions are:
Any tips and tricks to the days?
Any food inside that are must musts?
Plan to park at one of the locals parking lots. Any suggestions?
Anywhere to eat outside of COTA between and including San Marcos?
Anything else you wish you knew when you went for the first time?

does COTA sell concert only tickets or do you have to purchase the whole day, so you can view the concert?

I’m driving from Houston and wondering if there is free parking from where I can take a shuttle to the park.
I did that back in 2023 but don’t remember if I paid for parking or not.
This will be my first and maybe my only F1 event. I want to try to make the most of it by going to team events while there. Is there a full list of F1 and team events for the week/weekend of the event?
