Vostok Komandirskie 213

This is my first Vostok.

A Komandirskie 213

(Type 21, gold-plated brass(3)) with indestructible 2414A movement.

Here in a special model for the military, clearly visible on the inscription on the dial.

"ЗАКАЗ МО СССР" (ordered by the Ministry of Defense of the USSR).

The watch has lived through the Cold War, perestroika and the collapse of the USSR.

And now she gets a new home with me. I will sand it down to the bare brass, satin it, last it is patinated and highlighted. New glass, new seals, I will have the movement cleaned and oiled.

A long way to go...

Zorro 902 RAW COPPER

I made myself a unique piece to match my favorite TV series.

It is tampon etched and patinated with liver of sulphur. Finally, briefly polished with superfine steel wool. Now it is allowed to continue to age while it accompanies me.

Zorro 902 BRASS

The etching of my new Zorro 902 has just been finished. Now it is polished to a high gloss (steel balls + diamond dust in the tumbler) and then it is patinated. Any ideas for the finish?
