[PC][Mid-Late 2000s] An iSpy-style puzzle game centered around time travel

Platform(s): PC

Genre: Puzzle

Estimated year of release: Mid-late 2000s

Graphics/art style: Realistic but slightly stylized, like carmen sandiego or civilization.

Notable characters: A generic scientist character who looks like a mixture of einstein and doc brown.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

  • Looking at scenes from various times and places in history (renaissance italy, ancient egypt, etc) and finding items that are out of place like a kid's bicycle, a teddy bear, or a basketball.
  • The scientist's face was always on screen, like a portrait at the bottom center, and could be clicked on to give clues

Other details:

  • The story is that the scientist character built a time machine and, during his birthday party, his grandkids got into it. The player was also at the party and has to follow after the kids and clean up anything they left behind.
  • All the static scenes in the game are very dense, like an iSpy book, with lots of props and clutter, so it can sometimes be hard to find the out of place items.

Can you tell my coworkers have a bad habit of leaving the key to our outdoor freezer in their pockets?
