Hitting Diamond in league of legends at 15
I know hitting Diamond isn't that big of a deal. I started playing League when I was 6 and played until I was around 11, then took a 3-year break and came back at 14. That gap between 6 and 11 was mostly just for fun, but I wanted to take the game a bit more seriously.
In about 165 days, I climbed from Iron 4 to Emerald 4. After the season reset, I hit Diamond in 20 days, so it took me around 185 days total to go from Iron to Diamond.
I know what some people might say or think: that the gap between Iron and Diamond is similar to the gap between Diamond and Master 200 LP, and I don't disagree. I feel like it's going to get a hell of a lot harder from this point on.
That account was on EUNE, and I heard a lot of people say that EUW is harder. Hearing that got me excited, and I wanted to experience harder teammates and competition, so I made a new account. I went from Iron to Diamond in 41 days, and now I'm still progressing toward Master.
So my question is: should I look into a professional career in the EBL (Esports Balkan League), or should I give up on the dream of going pro?
I guess the main reason I made this post is because it's been 200 days since I hit D4 on EUNE, and I feel a bit stuck. But I locked in again, and I feel a strong will that I must become better.
If anyone has any tips for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
I one-trick Viego, and I have around a 60% win rate on jungle, of course.
Moral of the story: I need someone's opinion on whether I should look into going pro and really lock in, or whether I should just play casually and focus on something else. Also any tips for climbing
Thanks for reading.
