To add to my berth/luggage question

I'll be going in winter, February, would love to hear your packing list if you've done this trip. Toronto to Vancouver.

Wondering how sparse I can pack. At least with a hotel you can wash some clothes and hang them, assuming you can't do that on the train. Also where I won't be doing a lot of walking I'm not going to dirty as quickly. I am a women if this helps. I haven't been one to over pack, but also not used to winter travel.

Below are things I'm just listing for my sanity, and maybe it will help others, I have questions for others.

Thinking I should bring at least a couple short and couple long sleeve shirts. Should I add to this?

Couple pairs of pants.

Pair of boots for outside and sneakers inside. Is there a place to store the boots when not being worn? Under bed with rest of luggage? If yes, it would be good to know if I need to bring a plastic bag to keep the wet separate from luggage.

Long jacket. Are there coat hooks near/in the berth?

Hat and mitts/gloves

Long sleep wear

Does the train get so cold that I will need a base layer?

Fleece sweater

Shell/rain jacket

Multiple pairs of underwear and socks

The reason I ask is because I will need to pack taking into consideration a few days more days as I'm starting in Halifax, but I do have a place to stay for a couple nights in Montreal if i really need to do laundry. In total I'll be gone 12 days.

Also, I'm concerned with a long winter jacket, it will be fine on the east coast, but the west coast has very different temps. Will only be on west coast for 2 nights. I am used to nasty winter weather, so I wonder if I can get away with layering and the shell jacket.

Hopefully this is ok to ask here and like I mentioned maybe it could help someone else out. Thanks!!

Berth and luggage

For those who have stayed in a berth, what is your go to luggage? I will be flying home and I can take a carry-on. Because of this, I'm debating either something like an Osprey 40L/similar backpack Or a roller luggage/duffle. What would make more sense for the space I will have in the berth? I am also planning on bringing a smaller backpack as my personal item. Thanks!!

Edit: I'll be in a bottom berth if that makes a difference.

Itchy skin

I'm 45 and it started last summer with the bottom of my feet, hands, and just about all over. I started taking allergy pills, without fail I need to take 1 every 48hrs. My feet aren't as bad, but I still get itchy. I went to the doctor... and she told me to get scabies medication, along with eczema Aveeno and unscented Dove bar.. and that was it. She didn't tell me to keep her posted or make a follow up appointment.  She told me my skin it's dry. I had blood tests and everything was fine with that, she looked at multiple items, nothing hormone related, but mentioned liver is ok. And that was it. When I brought up that I thought it could be a symptom of peri, she chuckled and said she didn't like to try and guess if it was because there isn't much information on peri and symptoms.  If I have to make another appointment, how should I approach it? It isn't just being itchy, I started taking Wellbutrin to help with mood and distraction, but my sex drive has been wayyyy down in the last year or so. I didn’t bring this up, but I did tell her I have zero motivation to do anything, hence the prescription which I started a little over a month ago. Would appreciate advice. In Canada if that helps.

Advice needed, convince me...

I'm in my mid 40s and haven't been involved in theatre for a very long time. I've worked a couple shows backstage in the last couple of shows our theatre has done, but I really want to get on stage. I'm not sure about musicals, but I feel a stage play would be a good fit if the opportunity came up. I am thinking of joining a choir in the fall, which may convince me to audition for musicals, but we will see.

Is mid 40s to late? From the people I've talked to they say no. I've been told, and also read here, that it really depends on the role and what they have in mind. I really don't think I'd take it personally if I didn't get s call back, I really don't have any experience so I think I would not expect one. I guess I'm nervous because I don't know what to expect if I do audition, or even how to audition, at the same time I understand you can't get better and gain experience if you don't try. From what I can tell our shows have a mix of novice to experienced actors. When I first volunteered I thought most, if not all the actors, were professionals or had gone to school for theatre or even had theater background, but not all of them do, but they all seem to have some experience in some aspects either be singing or dancing. Then there is me an office worker 😄 but I am trying to get my foot in the door and try new things.

Looking for advice, thanks!

Has anyone else had issues with their Hisense TV freezing up or displaying in green or pink? Bought January 19 and of course it is just over the 90 days return policy. 🙃 I know it isn't the fanciest of TVs but it was what I could afford.
