Soldier main hard stuck low Master any advice?

Hello everyone

I am a Soldier 76 main who’s stuck at low master/high diamond. My peak was master 3 for the first time last season.

After watching my own vods couple of times I noticed the following.

1- I die a lot, like I can go 17 deaths a match sometimes, I tried to not die but it’s easier said than done, I just don’t understand the concept behind not dying, what’s going on in other players mind who doesn’t die often.

2- I will yolo dive the low health enemy and usually get punished for it and die.

3- I like to ego dual an enemy but I usually die if it was Casedy especially.

4- When the match begins on a game modes like robot or point, I don’t really know if my priority should be to stay behind my team and do damage at first or just go for a flank and try to get the enemy’s attention( I usually die when I go for a flank when the match starts )

5- I find myself losing on certain maps and game modes like push and hybrid push especially on defense, I just don’t know what I am supposed to do especially when defense with soldier, so I try to avoid these maps and game modes as much as possible but it’s not helping at all.

6- Sometimes when I play against top 500 or grandmasters/high master I find myself not able to reach their back line especially if the enemy team has Anna. She will just heal her team and we will lose because no one is able to touch her.

7- There’s certain match ups I would lose 80% because I can’t deal with certain characters as Soldier 76 for example, divers like Doomfist and D.va, long ranged champion like Frejia and Sojourn and tanks like Zarya and Sigma. I try to banned these characters but sometimes my team will prioritize other op characters and that is understandable.

8- I don’t really know what should I do with my ult, it’s and aim bot and everyone will run away behind a cover or shield, I gave up trying to do big plays with it and that left me second guessing myself on when to use it and why.

I am confident in my aim but I feel like I don’t really understand overwatch on a fundamental level, my decision making is also wrong most of the times. I felt like until low master I can get away with good aim and bad decision making until low master but in master most of the players have a really good aim, what usually differs are the game knowledge and good decision making. any tips or help on how to improve? Watching pro players wasn’t very helpful unfortunately.
