Searching for this results in a lot of posts and videos of mk7 and later mk6 gtis, however my 2011 looks significantly different than all the photos/videos. It seems to me that my car either doesn't have one or is completely inaccessible without removing the wipers/trim etc.
What am I missing?
I bought my gti with a curt 1.25" hitch already installed, but I was planning from the beginning to install the ecohitch 2" class 3 for my bike rack.
I know their website says it's compatible... But I can't seem to find a single photo of an mk6 gti with a 2"ecohitch torklift receiver.
Tons of mk7s, not a single mk6.
What gives? Anyone have one?

Just picked up a 2012 gti 6mt with 107k on it.
First time driving after sitting overnight it sounds almost buzzy (with engine rpms, not road/load/gear dependent). The volume doesn't seem to change at idle vs driving or with load/cruising. Just sounds a bit off compared to my test drive and drive home. Tried taking a video driving but the sound didn't get picked up.
Is this normal? Anything I should check?
