This is a very terrible mini game in an otherwise awesome game. I'm on ps5 pro and not only is the button layout horrendous, but there's no true difficulties to pick from to ease you into it. I've literally only been able to get C ratings so far. They also seem to not react when they are supposed to, like there's some kind of input delay or something, you have to press it much earlier then you should need to.
I won't put any spoilers here of course so for people that haven't played the game. There's an area in act 1 where you have to go through a location called lymbic forge and it has a bunch of waterfalls in it.
At certain points in this area my audio would heavily crackle and sound distorted. It's the only area of the game so far that I've noticed anything wrong. I posted a topic on the hell is us subreddit but got no answers, so I'm hoping it's not an issue with my console.
So far I haven't had any audio issues in any other game. In fact I haven't had any audio issues in hell is us either until this section. At least so far it seems to just be in that area.
Game has been pretty much perfect in terms of performance up till this point minus some bad pop in.
Once I got into the lymbic forge after draining the water from the pond I occasionally get audio popping and crackling down here. It seems to only be this area though. It gets really bad in the part where you put the 2 symbols in the door, one on the left and one on the right. In the area with a bunch of waterfalls.
I've googled the issue and saw posts on it, but only from people on PC. Is this an issue with the ps5 version in this area as well or is it something on my end?
I know you can't repair the axe in the new mini game, but the tutorial message said that they have a higher rate of spawning new ones if the durability is low, just like with 4R.
I've still not once come across an axe. My axe is damn near usually broken by the third stage.
Just had my second hard crash of the system this morning after owning it for roughly a year and a half, and it was a weird one. Turned it on and there was 2 updates, one for arc raiders and one for mouse pi. For some reason, after mouse PI finished downloading it's patch, it got stuck in the "install" part at 99 percent. I waited for 10 minutes, tried to pause and cancel the DL, nothing worked, but the rest of the system UI was fine.
I decided to just turn the console off and try a reboot. The console got stuck in the power off process. I waited again for 10 minutes to see if it would shut itself off, but it stayed with the white blinking lights for 10 min. Due to this the holding power button method doesn't work, so I had to actually pull the plug.
On reboot everything works fine, but it did have to rebuild the database and start in safe mode. I can't really complain because I've had the system for almost a year and a half and this is only the second hard crash it's ever done (hard crash meaning it locks up the system not just a game crashing) so I can't really complain, but damn if it isn't a weird crash. Shit my friends locked up the other day just browsing the extra menu so it makes me wonder if something's a little wonky with a new firmware update.
