I’m currently in the Army National Guard on a 3x5 contract and have been in for about 8 months. I’m currently in AIT.
I’ve been seriously considering becoming an Air Force officer through AFROTC. My plan is to start AFROTC while finishing my degree, and by the time I would actually commission, my 3-year Selected Reserve obligation should already be complete.
If that’s the case, is getting a DD Form 368 (Conditional Release) usually pretty straightforward, or can units still make it difficult even after the 3-year obligation is over?
Has anyone here gone through something similar?
