As you may know now that parandhur airport is gone but still Chennai needs a 2nd airport but a new reason is because of the High Speed Rail.

Since the Mumbai - Ahmedabad HSR project is 75% completed, the next project might be Chennai Bengaluru HSR since it is the shortest of the other plans (Delhi Ahmedabad, Delhi Varanasi, Mumbai Hyderabad etc) . I could be wrong but the first HSR project in South India will be Chennai Bengaluru HSR project.

Now HSR station will be in city center, (as if its outside the city, it defeats the whole purpose of HSR) it will most probably be near chennai central ( most probably underground) . But since central is already too crowded (both local and long travel passengers) and building next to it means demolishing Nehru stadium and to build it in another area, it will cost too much and the area will be too crowded and the traffic would be...

Now if a second airport exists, the existing airport can be turned into a single runway airport mostly for domestic and few international services ( like Sri Lanka, malaysia, singapore etc.) and the long distance international services to US, Canada, Europe, Australia and cargo services can be shifted to the 2nd airport and the know 2nd runway land can be used to build the HSR station underground and also has metro and suburban connection and since both the Airport and HSR station will still be less crowded the central stations, the crowd and traffic will be easy to manage.

But in order to do this , we NEED the 2nd airport which I think can be built near Thiruvallur or Arakkonam ( if its possible to build near the air force base which I don't think is possible but can try nearby places) as they already have suburban rail connection. This is what I think . Correct me if am wrong and also tell your suggestions.

So I planned to apply for tnea counselling but my lazy ass saw the june 2 deadline and procrastinated it. Now it asks income certificate which I don't have an recent one but one or two years back. Is it possible or am I cooked?
