Potentially independently filing

Hello!
I know there is no legal advice to obtain here however I am looking for others experiences in being successful without an attorney.
I do not have the funds to hire an attorney and am trying to do this on my own. Through my research I see that this can be difficult. Has anyone filed their own? My two fears are one being rejected completely and two, leaving out a creditor.

frigidaire *A12854801* repair

I moved into a home this week that included appliances. The dryer works great however the washer won’t start. When I press the start button it acts like I’m not pressing anything and stays the same. No lights come on, the only light on is the normal green blinking light that the dryer has until you press start.
The house had no electric for about 3 months, not sure if that would have an effect.

Through here and Google I have:
-Unplugged for 30 mins
-pressed start and cancel for 60 seconds
-checked that water was on
-shut breaker off
-checked lid

Any other tips or tricks?
